ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

The way McFarlane figures are constructed make them ridiculously easy to customize/improve. I swapped those thighs day one and it makes a tremendous difference. Imo dc essentials made the best looking red hood stock but with the tweaks I prefer McFarlanes

Yeah I was thinking the same thing so I did some research turns out Nightwing and Batman are meant to be the same height (6’2) and Red hood is meant to be shorter (6’0). 🤔

Solid review! I'll get the bad out of the way first. I am not a fan of those funky spherical ankles. That's why I passed on the Thomas Wayne Batman. Now for the good. BEST RED HOOD FIGURE EVER MADE!

Dudes. Ignore the Nightwing figure, take the head off, and use it as a second head for Red Hood. It looks close enough like Jason Todd unmasked in the animated movie. Sure his eyes are red, but he's Jason Todd The RED Hood.

I'm new to collecting Marvel Legends (just this year), I have bought several stands that work well for doing action/flying poses, but have yet to see any stands that are good for just good old fashioned pegs in the feet for figures that tend to topple easily (Strong Guy I'm looking at you).....any recommendations ?

McFarlane definitely does not like nightwing. Such good articulation and detail waisted on a goofy looking figure. My favorite dc character and he’s gotta be the most disproportionate one too, I hope he at least redoes nightwing someday😒 Red hood looks vicious as hell

I know I've heard the argument that they have to save costs and what not on old molds. This is not how you do it. A repainted Nightwing that honestly could be much better should not have been forced into a two pack with Red Hood. Either we should have gotten a $30 set of Red Hood/Nightwing or just no repainted Nightwing figure. Ideally this Nightwing could have address it's faults to make it worth buying. I don't like how Mcfarlane has been doing these two packs with the exception of that Batman/Joker Arkham pack. That was perfect, you got two figures released solo first and then released together as a tweaked set. Mortal Kombat Raiden/Scorpion, again solo figures before, reduced price, and in alternate colors. They are also going to bring out a 3rd Nightwing figure using the same body but a jokerized head......... So thumbs down on Nightwing. It's okay if it's your first Nightwing(and personally I prefer Red) but how it was done I'm just really negative on. Red Hood looks awesome. I keep saying and I will keep saying it until there is a change. These figures need much more articulation. Almost all these characters are bloody ninja acrobats. They should be able to move like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. The upper thighs and torso need to be adjusted. Figures are looking great but they aren't supposed to be statues.

I have both and that's not true. The essentials one's arms are way too long and the articulation is pretty frigid. DC Essentials are also pretty fragile
