The problem with trying to class balance guardian games is the skimmer being tied to playing the winning class during focus events. Whoever bungie turns the levers to favor will snowball the competition because everyone will play that class to get the skimmer fastest.

You know, the early part of the discussion got me thinking about D2Y1 and the double primary situation, and how the problem might not’ve been double-primary but the nature of what primaries *are.* Like, imagine a world where instead of being universally one-shotting power weapons, shotguns got re-balanced to function *as* primaries, with drastically reduced damage but better range so optimal TTK might be, like, two shots. Sequester one-shotting exclusively to the Heavy slot and have a selection of heavy Shotties that still one-shot at maybe slightly better consistency. I dunno, it’s been a concept I’ve been turning around in my head for a while. Specials have always felt like a bit of a mistake to me.

Yeah I’d play Helldivers if it was on Xbox Pumpkin pie Hunters were winning because they were winning the focused activities so that’s the fast route to getting the hoverboard. It’s also harder to be motivated to do a live stream when members of your community send you death threats.

I think they should reduce abilities more and put the TTK back to what it was. Too many weapons feel bad now.
