A perfect pass using the depressed reticle in manual bombing mode in DCS: F-5E-3. Demonstrates how to use the bomb profile tables in the DCS flight manual to perform manual bombing.

I realize I'm about 6 years late. Just got into DCS and this dropped in my YT feed. That was awesome.

Thank you so much for this. I'm using the community DCS A-4E mod which uses a similar freefall bomb technique and there's no really good video guides that are as clear or as brief as yours! Fantastic work!

I've found that if you release your bombs at 2000' at a 20 degree dive angle you get better accuracy. Milage may vary, of course.

I still can't get it. Every time when I release bomb like in manual - 1500ft above target, i am missing ground only 100ft above ground and the explosion hits me. :( I am also not able to determite when to start diving. I do it too soon or too late and after that i have bad dive angle. It there was any rule, it would me much easier.

Remember that you must make a continuous and accurate 5-g escape pull.

I use 4G because I still have some bombs loaded. But still the problem is when start diving. I never "catch" the right time.

Put the target at the beginning of that RED rose, then TURN over it.

If you drop at 1500ft and immediately pitch up you won't get below 1000ft let alone 100ft. You have to pull basically the same split second you pull the trigger. As for positioning it's about feel. You have to imagine what a 20 degree slope to the target is like and put yourself on it. If you find the angle is too shallow you can level off a bit, then pitch down. If the angle is too steep you nose down further and then pull back when it looks like it's 20deg
