DCS F18C and F16C with DOF H3 SFU gear upgrade 1

Question regarding their website. If I buy the H3 and add the SUF gear boxes doesn’t it become the P3 theoretically?

NOPE the P3 has different industrial level motors the H3 motors are user level. The difference being the P3 motors can run much longer and if for situations like a business running a motion sim platform. The H3 is consumer level motors the gears can be on either version.

Great video! I like how the camera shows the movement of the platform clearly, but something was amiss - the reverse image of your platform! I was trying to figure out why you banked left on the screen and the platform was going the opposite direction. It was then I saw the number 3 reversed 😅 Thanks also for pointing out some things you have experienced and settings - that’s always helpful.

Cool, thanks the sim seats nice but a bit uncomfortable after a few hours. It physically makes you work in the stomach, shoulders and legs when the bank angles are high. So after about an hour you feel like you've been working out.

Can you increase the amount/degree of pitch and roll on your DOF? It doesn't look like you have much. I'm trying to decide between this DOF unit and the yaw2. I saw another video using the yaw 2 with DCS and the pitch up on the yaw 2 appeared to have the pilot's feet almost vertical to the ceiling LOL. To me, that's as real as it gets.

Its the angle I record from that seems like its not that significant. But its pretty effective the roll forces you to hold yourself in the seat using stomach muscles and holding a little tighter on the HOTAS or sterring wheel if your driving. But its definitely felt. But you can increase the angle but you can increase the speed and intensity of the response. I have mines set to rather modest settings because after a while the jerking up down side to side is draining.

@@JayDKBGames Thank you sir. Can you also increase the pitch from the setting that you have it on now?

@E Knight nah the pitch is set to i believe a max by DOF but you can set the intensity to a point the thing will leave the floor on Catapult launches. I think the max angles are like 10/15 degrees up down side. But don't quote me on that its in the dof documentation Q&A

@E Knight i will say this I had never heard of the Yaw 2 but I just watched a video of it. GET IT the DOF H3 or H6 is not anything like that. I'll probably sell mines and get that YAW 2 you're right about that angle and pitch. That's huge. Lol
