Kindly bare in mind that the real Airshow demo had different atmospheric parameters while in DCS they relay on IGL "Ideal Gas Law" (rightfully so, otherwise the game would need another computer just to run atmosphere data alone :)) ) which most of the time would lead to similar discrepancies in flight model........kudo to the team for eyeballing and approximating something this close........good video none the less sir......

As a tester and a member of the Codenamed Flanker Team the things you addressed with the momentum won't be changed due to limitatons with DCS and the flight model its self but the plane will still undergo updates.

I see. That’s fair enough. It’s still very impressive. One thing I would highly recommend is making the aircraft more responsive to pitch inputs. It’s very slow to react. In that sense I think the DCS Su-27 is a lot better. Especially obvious when flying in close formation.

Dcs needs a big overhaul for thrust vectoring to be implemented better. As of now the magic momentum cannot be removed and all planes float (essentially breaking the flight part of the game) at speeds below 100kts and 60kts

I love this!!! DCS often struggles to portray real and proper flying characteristics of aircraft due to engine limitatiions. (it's a combat sim sooooo.... with a few exceptions such as the Tomcat or the Hornet. Which flight models outside the flight envelope are pretty acurately depicted)

I've seen an actual Su-30MKM sim and their HUD has a pitch ladder more akin to Rafale style. They don't use the Russian symbology.

We are working on a custom hud, but its highly limited due to DCS.

Yeah there’s a few things which are almost certainly different on the real MKM… for one, I doubt there’s Russian anywhere in the cockpit.

Hello, a few months ago, the SU30 module stopped working with the DCS new version update. Although the creator released a patch, it still doesn’t allow for correct operation of the aircraft in the cockpit. Did you find a way to make this module usable? Could you please share it? Thank you!

Which part are you talking about. The real airplane is actually capable of pulling up and breaking the airflow over the wings more quickly than the mod can.

Watching your control inputs gives a great window into why the Viper's fly by wire control stick moves very little, to prevent bad habit muscle memory for when you revert back to cable and hydraulics jets. Watch Blue Angel stick and rudder work to get an idea how the control are input in real life flight demos. Get a force feedback stick if you are a new flier in sims, it develops good habits that can be transferred to high g loading flight later, in real life if you are lucky enough to make it a career or even just a hop with someone as a motivational ride. "You have the jet... feel it out put on some g if you want. Whoa! Nice, Chandelle! You sure you've never done this before? You aren't ham fisted like sim kids that get stick time with me, at all!"
