You all played games when you were kids, and believe it or not you probably were a tad annoying too. inb4 someone claims they never did, we ALL were little kids and could be annoying at anything so shhhh. "Kids" in general aren't all annoying, it's a bad stereotype that is true to some degree but also untrue. Kids can be better players, and better listeners then some of these so called "Adults" i see. I've never seen a kid decide to blow a whole Arma town to smithereens in the name of " tactics are silly when you can just level shit". Take some time to realize that using the words kids everywhere as a bad thing isn't cool, even if it's true in some cases.

You can test-DL DCS from steam, yes. There are packages (sometimes on sale) where a A-10 variant is included with other nice planes, but not as detailed as in this vid. Or you buy the dedicated A10-C yes. The map is the Balkan(?) around Georgians: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Caucasus-ethnic_en.svg With the newest DLC (with DCS2.0) you get the Nevada area around Vegas and Area51 I think :D

For a game that is aiming for realism, they have their radio comms all sorts of fucked up. You NEVER say "repeat" as a means to have traffic transmitted again, especially during a fire mission. The term to use is "say again". Repeat means to repeat the previous fire mission which can put friendly troops at risk and occupy valuable fire support resources. As a former Forward Observer, hearing the AI say repeat over the radio makes my blood boil. If someone ever did that in real life their platoon sergeant would rip their head off and shit down their neck.

I noticed that you were rolling to the left all the time in the end. You can trim the aileron so that you don't have to push the joystick against the roll action that the plane does when damaged or unbalanced. I believe that your joystick has trim thing in the tip of the stick. It can be binded to the elevator and aileron trim, for what it is meant to be binded.

It's not automatically bound to thetrim switch on the TM Warthog and if DDG hadn't changed this, it would be bound to looking around.

DDG didn't need to pay any attention to looking around. Besides if he had changed the binding from the hatswitch, why should that make him bind the hatswitch to its correct binding.

"Check gear down" is commonly used by the military as a part of landing confirmation, normally on the last confirmation/transmission from ATC to the pilot before landing. Most of the time the pilot would respond with "three greens", as it confirms the three green lights for gear down on the panel.

I really hope the Air Force doesn't retire these things. Nobody liked them at first in 1977, but when 1991 came around, these things destroyed so much Iraqi shit, the AF completely abandoned the idea of replacing them with an F-16 CAS variant. Now the same situation is coming up again to replace them with F-16s, and progress still continues on that disaster of an aircraft the F-35 as opposed to the relatively problem free F-22. Hopefully they come to their senses. It's essentially the same situation, we're facing a decrease in military spending with a downsizing of the military, just like in 1991, but when we have Russians knocking on Eastern Europe, or have to fend off China from Japan, I think they'll again remember the benefit of having such an incredibly durable and effective CAS aircraft, and leave the tactical and air superiority fighters to their domain in the skies.

I completely agree with you. I still don't think the F-22 will be able to handle CAS because its a high speed jet. The whole point of CAS is to fly low and slow, loitering over your target. The F-35 nor the F-22 can ever come close to "handling" CAS compared to the A-10. As they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" If we aren't having problems with the A-10, then WHY DUMP IT?! They expect us to "SAVE" money by canning our cheapest and most effective aircraft for multi-trillion dollar aircraft?! How does this work?

Mark Canino But you have to look at things differently, The A-10 is 30+ years old and the government wants a fifth generation aircraft,F-35, that can keep up with other aircraft like the Sukhoi PAK-FA, another 5th Generation Aircraft, also the F-35 will be able to VTOL and CATOBAR while the A-10 can only take off from an airfield which would not be as practical as the F-35 or the F/A-18, side-note the F-35 is also going to become the main jet of the Air Force, Marine Corps, and the Navy.

I think the F-35 would be great for A2A combat, but not CAS. It needs to loiter over its target for long periods of time, it needs to fly low, get slow, and have very heavy protection. The F-35 has none of these.

If youre looking for the F16, go play Falcon BMS. Its better than DCS in just about every way lol. It has dynamic campaign, it runs on normal computers, looks better, takes weeks to master, planning missions in campaign mode reminds me of a grand strategy title, etc. Support BMS!!! If youre looking for the AH64, go check out "combat helo". Its basically a standalone sim for the AH64 that was made in coordination with the army so its gonna be incredibly accurate, which I think is better than being a DCS module. DCS hardly has dynamic campaigns, and Combat Helo does. Cant freaking wait.

***** I already play BMS, and I'm waiting for the release of Combat Helo, but the multiplayer would be epic if you could have F-16's doing SEAD, A-10's on patrol, AH-64's on CAS, and F-15's providing air support. BMS is great, but the graphics just aren't there terrain wise, I know it's an old game, but it's slightly annoying sometimes when trying to spot armored targets or SAM sites.

Hey Devil, when it comes to killing infantry like in this mission, it makes it a lot easier if you use your TGP and set it to WHOT or BHOT (all personal preference) then slew it over and find them with that. And then if you need to reset the TGP or have it slew to a WP, You hold Chinahat Aft long to slave the tgp to steerpoint and chinahat aft short to reset it. The BOAT switch is for thermals. Fence in Means Lights out.. You use the silver switch on Engine 1 throttle to control lights. Far aft turns on all lights. Mid position shuts all lights off and forward position is formation lights.

He has a HOTAS Joystick which has many main switches that he needs already on the trottle area and joystick itself. As for the mouse and clicking on the radar panel's and such, he most likely has his mouse set up in a way where he can easily reach off with his hand and hold the stick, whether it be the left or right.

I don't think you guys are using the NATO Brevity Code word vic correctly. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I found. Picture refers to AWACS picture. VIC: Picture label with three groups with the single closest in range and two groups, azimuth split, in trail. Group names should be LEAD GROUP, NORTH TRAIL GROUP, SOUTH TRAIL GROUP, EAST TRAIL GROUP and WEST TRAIL GROUP.

NuclearRS well from the perspective of someone who went through both BRC (Basic Reconnaissance Course a.k.a. Recon Marine) and Ranger School. They're both tough. Ranger School: sucked more than BRC, less food, less sleep specially through mountain phase. BRC: more mental/knowledge testing and more physically demanding, CS grenades just seem to randomly appear.

what is a good build to play this game , graphics card, cpu, motherboard, power supply , liquad or fan cooled , can someone give me part from part that will get me a decent price build to just play this game this game only and flight sim x

Go to LinusTechTips they got awesome builds for ya. Or just order one thats already made. For about 1500dollars you can get what you need. Go to amazon or google "buy gaming pc"

+MyMilo777 A 1000 AUD budget gaming PC will easily run this game with no issues. It's the specalised controllers(joystick and rudder pedals) that you need for this sim that are really expensive.

Okay no worries, thanks guys appreciate the feedback and help. New to pc gaming, bit of a noob with this stuff lol. Ill write you list of whats been offered by computer store companies that build gaming PC's though they have quotes me much higher nearing the 2.5k-3k margin

I do not have a joy stick for this, I downloaded the game, it looks great, I did tutorial for take off and then realized I have no way to control my pitch and roll so I crashed. Is there a way to fly with keyboard and mouse only, How do I go about working in Pitch and roll? If any of you in the comments know.

No, you need to be able to be able to precisely control the aircraft with slight control surface deflections and a good capable throttle otherwise you're just going to stall and crash.
