I just mashed the like button 18 times but it kept undoing my like. I ended it on a like though. Very good stuff. I've been trying to figure out the camera controls for a long time and I have some of them, but this video was extremely helpful. Thanks.

After 4 years flying DCS, this is the 1st time I have ever heard how people get the video views they get. This is Excellent. Is it safe to say that the video recording that utilizes these views is done during a Track Playback ? Or something to do with creating a Video from a Track ? What can you tell me/us about how you created this video (minus the notes which I know can be added and edited in KZbin).

Nice video. Is it possible, while in track replay, after switching to one of the external views, to go back to cockpit view with its original recorded TraciIr head movements? None of the F1 variations does that. You can still use Trackir while in replay, but it seems you cannot go back to original head movements once you change the view.
@fireblaze79946 жыл бұрын
Once you leave F1 view, it appears all the head tracking movement is lost. Best to record the track from cockpit view first, then all the external views separately by running through the miz file again. For some of my videos I have recorded 3 movies and merged them in the video editor (Blender).

Thanks. I asked because I wanted to avoid multiple recordings and do all views editing in the track replay. It would be nice if DCS had the "track view" command as some other games have.
@fireblaze79946 жыл бұрын
Use Blender in video mode, you can layer multiple movie files and switch between the views or do screen in screen etc, such as this other video I did.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXuzZZJmmNGmoLs

I’m still trying to figure out how to keep my F keys from doing things like muting the volume.
@fireblaze79944 жыл бұрын
Ha ha, seriously? You might have a "fn" key on your keyboard, which can toggle a second command on a key.

Great Video thx a lot. Is there anywhere a graphic with the key commands so I can print it to lay down on my desktop during practise with these views?
@fireblaze79944 жыл бұрын
Sadly not. There are some basic commands which I have shown. Also certain aircraft have extra view commands (not necessarily views) which have their own keys, so it would be a nightmare of a document to keep up to date.

We are on TS but use multiple channels. We fly from 2100GMT most evenings, you are more than welcome to join us. We usually fly on the Aerobatics online server. We can give you the TS channel we are on that day in the DCS chat.

This is completely usely, as you cant use the keys in replay mode. The worst kind of lying is not saying. While I fly I can change views. Ok try landing when you have an external camera below the plane pointed from the front side. Impossible. Try to view it in Replay after saving the Track Impossible. Just another lame bug of that bugyy simulation ?
@fireblaze7994 Жыл бұрын
A bit harsh saying I am lying? A lot have people have left good feedback, so would you not assume that the information I have given is genuine. For working trk files this will work, else you have a different key set up. For sure often trk files do not replay. Especially ground attack replays where unit deploy randomly. I understand your frustration but don't take it out on me friend :)

@@fireblaze7994 I'm saying you are omitting a main information, I have never found a replay track where the external views are active, I don't care about an information I can easily figure out as in your video, it makes me losing time, a lot of time searching for the solution of a buggy DCS. the solution, I found it elsewhere, you need to rename .trk as .miz and edit it in the mission editor, where camera's can be activated, then rename them back to .trk On replay mode you can choose then much more angles and perspectives of situations worth editing than your planes set in autopilot...
@fireblaze7994 Жыл бұрын
@@tomsawyer2112 I see what you are saying, but it is not me omitting info if the creator of the miz files turns off camera views. If it is a trk file from a PVP combat mission, creators mostly turn off cameras to prevent cheaters. Great you found a solution all by yourself.
