Deka’s options page that preloads the data cartridge should be a mandatory feature on any aircraft that has countermeasure programming or a complex navigation system! Why ED hasn’t done this is crazy!

"Update INS Align Data" sounds great... I guess we all have been in the situation where we've started taxiing before flicking INS NAV from ALN to FLT at some point. This is so we won't have to repick the plane and do the rest of the startup all over again in case we managed to derp the last try. This and the whole data cartridge setup are things I already love in this module, even though I don't have it yet. These guys are setting standards that haven't been there before, just like Heatblur. Awesome! /)

@@getsideways7257 I think they were saying in a Q and A that their texture guy had some illness for the last month, but they are working hard on it. Seems to be a better release than the F-16 so far. Damage model, exterior lights, ect. Deka said the only other thing they needed to work on post EA was the ground radar, so pretty fleshed out in its early stages. Very excited for this

Seems like quite an easy and straightforward startup procedure, itll be easy for new players to learn and quickly become second nature for seasoned pilots. UFC looks interesting, sort of a similar setup to the F15E. Bit disappointed that MFD inputs have to use the side buttons, but I'm used to that with the F16 now so it's not a big deal I frankly dont mind there only being two skins at launch; this plane is only flown by Pakistan irl anyhow, and the fictional skins will come thick and fast once the template is released

Very cool - short, to the point, and great for when you just want to prep and go on a short notice. That Config switch reminds me a lot of the M2KC - if I recall right, it has a similar, switch-operated G-limiter.

Very good quick start up, but I have to add a correction: That 180kts auto-rotation is simply an emergency function of the Flight Computer. You are supposed to rotate to 8-10degs. pitch at about 120-145kts depending on your loadout.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, every airplane will auto rotate eventually once airspeed overrides trim setting, don’t blow your max tire speed lol

ED has been slacking in general. When deka can release a Chinese dual engine version of the f-16 faster and more complete than ED then they got something bad goin on.

Hey Jabbers great tutorial again but 1 question I have is how do you set qfe. I would've thought the system alignment did that since I can't find anywhere to change this in the cockpit... or forum posts or even the manual. Thats not an autorotate but a emergency feature, you are not meant to go 180kts every T/O. IIRC it gives you 10°pitch if you reach 180kts, even in the air. At least thats what the manual says

This isn't a checklist startup, on my Channel I do these quick startups when modules launch so ppl can get up in the air quickly... If you want the full checklist startup you gonna need to find another channel

Nope it's imperial, and it's not a take off speed I misspoke, it's a safety feature, take off depending on load out is 140-160ish

Dude who is responsible for textures was in an accident, and in the hospital for several months. I can't believe even with something that the devs have shown to have many features ready to go on EA launch, people still find things to complain about that should or shouldn't be there before 'release'. It's not a release, it's an EA launch. Don't buy it until it has the textures then.

Really cool bird. But I am dissatisfied with the abysmal fuel amount this thing can bring. The mig 29 is already hard enough to bring out on any sortie over 300km, with its two gas guzzlers at low alt. This plane only has one but damn, only 5000 ibs of internal fuel? Nearly every load out is gona have to incorporate fuel stores
