Quick poll: would you rather have the hot chocolate, the mint tea, or the Heineken?
@toobydude417 жыл бұрын
Well it's easy to eliminate the beer LOL. The hot chocolate and mint tea is a toss up. Hmm..I love all kinds of tea that's for sure. I've tried mint ICED tea, and I guess what you had was the hot variety..so ok I'll go for that! Then the hot cocoa comes later :)
@trishwilson75177 жыл бұрын
THAT mint tea specifically. It looked delightful :)

Heineken first by a long shot...then the mint tea, and lastly hot chocolate but only on a cold dreary day. Great video again.

Great video! You guys were having fun… I was right there with you! That Cafe Blonde was a real find! ….I’d take a hit of Tony’s Chocolonely for sure! There’s always a place for a Heineken though…Amiright? The markets were fantastic…Even the fish! Love seeing the food in different places! What will they make for dinner? An outstanding vibe from this video guys…! De Pijp was hella fun!

Thank you! The Tony Chocolonely's chocolate was a real find - my friend who lives in Amsterdam first introduced me to it :) I love the markets too and seeing all the fresh ingredients laid out. Glad you liked this video so much!

This is a good video. Lot of interesting stuff there, and some of that food looks awesome. I wont lie though I'd have to at least check out the coffeeshops there. I've read and heard about them all my life, even though you can get it here. I of course would also want to see as much of the Netherlands as possible.

The large fish stall is actually one of the most famous in the Nethrlands. High quality restaurants buy their fish there... and you can just sit there and eat an enormous variety of fish as street food.

I totally forgot the De Stijl movement was from the Netherlands! Some history you learn in art school just slips you after haha! What art did Marc study? I would've loved to try that hot chocolate! Great video, as always! ❤️

The hot chocolate was SO GOOD, Nicole! I liked the whole vibe of that cute cafe. Happy you enjoyed this video :) It was a neat area of the city. Marc studied media arts and digital technologies at art school but it included studying all different sorts of arts, which is cool. Did you go to art school too?

Hey Eileen! Found another of your videos (about my favorite city!) I have only been on the rim of de Pijp during my other visits, but I think I'll venture further on my next trip. And as for Tony Chocolonely : when in Amsterdam I have one bar of his chocolate EVERY evening. They're great!! :-)

Hey Thomas! What a perfect way to end a day in Amsterdam, eh? Try the hot chocolate if you get a chance and let me know if you make new discoveries on your trip - would love to hear any recommendations! I have a video playlist from the Netherlands by the way :) Not sure if you've seen it but here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ol6siaOMdpeAjNU (all the Amsterdam neighbourhood profiles are in there too). You must be getting excited for your trip!

Hey! Thanks for the info...I did NOT know you had the AMS video playlist - I have to check it out! Unfortunately, I am lactose-intolerant, so I can't try the hot chocolate :-( And I used to be a HUGE hot chocolate and ice cream fan! But I have found great alternatives ;-)
@thomaslucia30596 жыл бұрын
I am already subscribed to your playlist...I just need to look at more of them :-) I am SO eager to get back to Amsterdam. I've started a list of places to visit, and Blond Amsterdam is my latest addition! Would be great to meet, if we ever happen to be in the same city!
@EileenAldis6 жыл бұрын
Gotcha! Yes, there are so many delicious alternatives - my favourite for non-dairy ice cream are ones made with banana or coconut milk. Great that you've got the playlist now! Yes, perhaps our travelling paths will cross one day :)

Eileen I’m binge watching your videos lol Can you tell me, is the De Hallen area near this Albert market and that place where you bought the hot chocolate? 😂👍🏽
@EileenAldis6 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad to hear that! 😁I'd guess De Hallen is about a thirty to forty-ish minute walk from the Albert Cuyp Market/Cafe Blonde area (called de Pijp). Oh man, now I'm craving a hot chocolate made with the Tony Chocolonely chocolate... 🤤🍫
