Yeah that gamemode was absolutely hilarious for a few chuckles lol, great April Fools event for sure. Fun fact, due to the way the models were rigged, certain characters' hair would NOT look right, and would be big and otherwise disjointed. Clearly, the devs were smart to not fix that bug, it only adds to the humor of it lol

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames The second Vecna Mori is very similar, it's for if you are holding one of the special items, Vecna's Hand or Eye. In the Mori, he impales you with a crystal spike, then the skeletons rip your flesh off.

One of the mechanics for Survivors if you're against Vecna are special chests that roll a d20 when you open them. A 20 gives you the Hand/Eye of Vecna which, while strong, also allows Vecna to "reclaim" his artifact resulting in a different Mori. 2-19 gives different items to counter each of Vecna's 4 spells and a roll of 1 turns the chest into a Mimic which tries to eat you.

one mildly amusing thing with the Vecna trailer is because it starts with the word poor and because the game seems to play the latest additions trailer. Means the game does infact call you poor when you start it and skip the video imidiately.

the devs said that for dnd veccna wasn't gonna be there pick and they were gonna pick a vampire guy from dnd (i know nothing on dnd so forgive me) however when castelavaina became a option they had to renegotiate to pick a new killer from dnd and it was veccna also veccna voice actor is the same guy who voiced Gannon in the new zelda game tears of the kingdom #dbdtrivafan

Vecna is such an outlandish pick but one the community has accepted with open arms. One of my personal favorite chapters this year!! At least until the Castlevania chapter releases, I screamed when they revealed Dracula’s castle and immediately knew!!!

I remember when I almost played Dead by daylight before my brother talked about the toxic players. I think at the time if you played as the killers it was going to be a much worse experience, or something along those lines. I'm not much of a competitive multiplayer enjoyer. There was also at the time a rather steep difference in the number of who played killers on the regular and there were WAY more survivors and so on. It's still something I'd be open to trying if the toxic players were a bit better than the last time I considered, but it's not a high priority

The toxicitiy is way better, a lot of the community is really nice and wholesome, and the game has been improving tons with QoL and gameplay stuff, I highly recommend trying it out

4:30 Vecna is a long standing Villain of the DnD universe THe God-LIch The Arch-Nemesis The Lord of Dead He goes by many names and he is one of the worst Villains in the DnD multiverse. After being defeated by his closest Right hand man, the Vampire Kas, only 3 things remained of Him, HIs right hand, His left Eye, and his Book, the Book of Vile Darkness. His Eye and Hand are like relics, they hold great Powers, but it require that you gough your own Eye and replace it with the EyE of Vecna or cut off your own hand to replace with with the hand of Vecna if you wish to use its powers. Off course both "Relics" has only One Master, Vecna himself, so they will slowly over time corrupt the one who was foolish enough to "wield" them and Vecna himself will manipulate the Poor basterd to do his Bidding, wich is off course a Complet Ressurection of Vecna. While they Give Great POwers the one wielding it, they also ultimatly drive the poor souls Insane and to their own destruction. The Boog of Vile Darkness is considered the MOST EVIL thing in all of Creation, it contains ALL and EVERY types of torture, Evils and methods to inflect them, worst, Some of these Methods and Evils where not written by Vecna , it wast written by those into whom the Book passed hands, and it gains more and more of these Evils as it passes through more hands, anyone who holds the book can contribute and if the Book deems them worthy of it, it can offer great Magical secrets and thus Great Power. The Book only stays in anyone possession and give them Power as long that they actively Strife to commit Hainous Acts of Evil on a regular basis.

Vecna as a dude is COMPLETELY OP; as a Killer it is actually a massive downgrade. Vecna is the DnD equivalent of Darkseid or X-Men's Apocalypse: a literal extinction level threat. A being so driven to conquer that even death was of no hindrance. He has been imprisoned into literal hell dimensions and still broken free. BE's first choice was actually Strahd von Zarovich, who is basically DnD Dracula, but when Konami approached with Castlevania, BE switched to Vecna since he was getting a refresh on his classic module, which for many players is the "endgame" of the official adventures. This and the last time Vecna was featured, DnD literally moved the setting to another plane for the next edition of the game, with Vecna as the literal "final final boss".
