I think what I adore about watching this gameplay is that it shows that this game, despite changing hands so many times since its announcement, isnt directionless and messily put together. Its polished, knows what its wants to be, the devs talk about it at length and enthusiastically, and isnt hiding anything. Not to mention the damage system for the zombies is impressive especially with all of its little details, can only imagine how much time had to have gone into it to look as good as it does. Cant wait for this game

Dying light 2 was not a disappointment ? It is not as good as Dying light 1 but dying light 2 is getting better and I can't wait for the dlc with a new map thet biggest they have made yat and guns and much more. The precise positional gore reminds me of Left 4 Dead 2's gore, but modernized. Satisfying gore is so important in zombie games, it's good to see it's well done here.

Hopefully the devs didn't have to look at photos of people being literally destroyed to have such a realistic gore effect for the game, unlike L4D/L4D2 devs.

Just happy we can still send zombies flying. I remember playing the DLC, fist focused, character in 1, upper-cutting zombies into the stratosphere and letting gravity take them. It's probably one of the most fun and hilarious things I've ever done in a zombie game.

It's actually surprising how little innovations there are! Other than the setting, elemental guns, skill card system, and 4k graphics, it feels like your classic Dead Island again. And that's fine.

I think its awesome to see a "perfect" timing dodge window reward system. Not only do you get to avoid damage but you gain back a decent chunk of stamina since it doesn't seem to refill nearly as quickly as it did in the previous two Dead Island games. Heres hoping you can augment how fast it does fill up with some skill tree perks so those of us who PROUDLY choose to block with our faces can get some much needed stamina refills as well. :D

Pretty sure Sam B. had a skill that let you regain stamina when you got hit, so I'd be a little surprised if something like that didn't come back.

@Shane Bovell I've played the first game at least 10 playtgroughs. Yeah I remember. The melee system wasn't floaty. It had weight. And you you had to time your swings because of the stamina bar. Which there isn't even a stamina bar in this game. It's completely gone.

The game looks very great from here. Deep Silver's care for attention shows much promise 🙂 The only thing I wanna know though is where are the Runner hordes at? The original Dead Island (and to an extent, Dead Island Riptide) had moments where the Infected (that's what the Runners were called in those games) came after you in a large horde. I saw the ones at the Beach and at the exploding truck. Will we get some WW2/Modern Military Runners? Can Runner Hordes appear at Military Checkpoints that are overrun? I don't know, but I am hoping and praying that this gets answered eventually.

This feels more like a spiritual succesor to L4D than B4B. I love how the environment looks and feel. DI and DIriptide was fun but their urban environment and big areas was not fun to traverse in, the new team's approach looks good and very lively.
