Dead Mall - Eastern Hills Mall - Williamsville, NY. Opened in 1971 by Dibartolo Corp, this mall was once a thriving shopping center in the Buffalo, NY area for many years having many different tenants but now with other nearby malls and the increase of online shopping, this mall is now struggling. There are plans to convert the mall into a place to shop, play, and live within the next 3-10 years.

This makes me really sad, this mall had a Dave and Busters and so much more not too long ago, and I believe a Bone Fish grill, the aesthetic in this mall is amazing, especially those lights!

At least they replaced Dave and Busters with something like it. :)

Bone Fish was at one of our other decaying malls - The Boulevard Mall. Eastern Hills had a Ruby Tuesday, which later turned in to a Duff's chicken wing place.

This mall's a major frustration for me. Two years ago, it was great. Even had a nice little food court. Now, they're refilling the anchors, but all of the smaller stores in between them are bailing.

That's a shame. I loved this mall the first time I visited it in 2017. Now, it looks like this. Sad to see it fall apart.

The Ask Trixie Channel 2 years ago wasn’t any better. It started in decline around 2008. The mall was packed when I was a kid.

My favorite local mall! I still miss the neon lights it used to have the red floor tiles down the wings used to follow the same red neon pattern above it. also the food court signs had mostly all neon there too.

It is very nice inside. The reason it's not doing so well is because businesses began moving to the Walden Galleria which gets substantially more business. It's a shame. I like this place.

Haha I'm nowhere near that good. I just really enjoy the style of filming dead malls like that. Hence why I do it. I personally really enjoy that style. Anyway, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed. It takes awhile for me to edit these mall videos where I want them to where i will watch over and enjoy how i put them together.

As a cross border shopper from Canada, I shopped there for decades. The last time we went there was in 2019 and it looked pretty much like your video. Because of the Pandemic/Border closure, the next time we where there was in May 2022 and was shocked to see all the closed stores. It was like an apocalypse! All the Mom and Pop shops in there only open on the weekend, so its SO creepy and dark. It is very sad as this was such a lively and happening place years ago.

As a little boy I spent a lot of time learning how to walk inside Eastern Hills Mall. Very sad to see it in its current state. I am fortunate to have been born into a much happier time than the present one. Eastern Hills Mall was so packed on Friday evenings and Saturdays, it was incredible compared to the ghost town that it has become.

This one truly breaks my heart. This was my mall growing up. As a teen in the 1980s I spent many many nights and weekends here - working in many of the stores and hanging out with friends. The big anchors were Macy's (also known as Sibley's and Kaufmann's), Sears, Bon Ton (formerly AM&As), and JC Penney. There also was a local department store called Jenss that opened to the outside as well. Now only JC Penney is left, and if they leave it will most likely signal the death knell for the mall. What's left inside is primarily pop-up antique stores and a few minor businesses - even the food court is gone.

Always nice to see videos in my area. I can see the boulevard mall being next to close and then maybe McKinley. The Bon-tons closing hit the malls pretty bad and I don’t think the Sears at McKinley will be open for much longer, I can see a lot of pop up Spirit Halloween stores showing up in the future. On a positive note they are redeveloping the North Town Plaza in Amherst.

I can see Northtown Plaza re-development ending as a big flop. See how many cars are parked in front of Whole Foods compared to Wegmans on Alberta. I bet Wegmans Alberta outsells wholefoods by five or six to one. I cannot imagine Whole Foods being around in another few years.

That is a good looking mall. What a waste to see this get torn down. Looks very clean. It seems that malls only in the past few years have really went off the deep end. In Illinois, we lost Carson's and Bergners and most of the Sears stores, leaving penneys and Macy's as lone anchors of most malls in Illinois, particularly in the Chicago area. I just wish that dillards would give the Chicago area a try, because it would bring something new to the region. Their stores are very clean.

Parrots are definitely not for everybody. They are gorgeous creatures but they're very emotional and complex beings that act out their frustration by being naughty. Imagine having a a two year old baby for the rest of your life, since parrots can live for a long long time... it's not always fun. They're very emotionally driven creatures that are very bratty and jealous and tend to love only one person and hate everyone else, hence they get rehomed so often. And rehoming parrots is very traumatic for them, hence they develop even more behavioral problems. In conclusion, please please please don't buy a parrot. They're lovely but they're very demanding pets.

As you and anyone knows big businesses or best known as big box stores such as Wal-Mart has taken away a lot of businesses from malls. I just wonder what will happen since Walmart is closing down a lot of their stores. Let me know what you think
