One of my favorite games. Haven't seen an EA game yet I don't like. I've completed it on easy, normal, and hard. Loaded the cleared "hard" level and have the Level 6 suit equipped. Lots of nodes and upgrades ! Hope they make a sequel !

in dead space, killing enemies is not as simple as just aim & shoot. you have to strategiclly sever specific limbs in order to bring down your foes, & even on occasion, severing the wrong limb, can likely make the situation worse. all inventory screens & options are accessed ingame, meaning, the only thing the pause button will do is give you some time for a bathroom break. just because there are one or two similarity's between two different games doesn't mean they're worth comparing.

I agree with you, but you got to admit it's a very fun game, full of suspense and enemies that will adapt and change their tactics. You are right though, but then again, maybe they did that on purpose. O.o

Especially if you fall in this game with necros all over you, you're kinda heavy so it'll take some time to get up and panic sets in and you want to hurry up and shoot them before they gore you to death.

The original gears of war made you jump. The second... not so much. Dead Space is on a whole different level. The whole idea is that you are never safe, thus can't relax. Gore is bad but not that terrifying, its all in the build up then boom it happens or it doesn't...which is worse. I like to think I'm decently brave but this game scares me so that I don't actually play it even though I want to :D.

I've got a 360 too, wish I'd have got it on that now. Both consoles have their good and bad points but I do prefer the 360 for online gaming and I play it a lot more.

it depends. if you want to get all the power ups and weapons and equipment then it'll be a long game but if you rush through it not caring about equipment you find or too many weapons then it will be shorter.

Now that I'm watching this I realise they didnt really change much in dead space 2 other than the story. Gameplay mechanics are the same, but still, dead space is FREAKING AWESOME!

I agree, you're right. I mean the only game or games I think parents should worry about at all are games like "Grand Theft Auto" becuase they are most true to life, but games like this are ridiculously stereotyped as creating violent children. Seriously, who is gonna go around and start shooting the limbs off people just cause they do it to monsters in a game. If a kid around 13 or so really can't tell the difference between a scary video game and real life violence, then he needs help.

System shock 2 has a hydrophonics level....where you had to get rid of toxins being produced there Awfully similar :P System shock 2 is really good though so can't be bad :P

The only thing I don't like about it is how all the enemies crawl on the floor, sametime there's lack of weapons and it's hard to aim and alot of them will end up really close and they do nothing for about 3 seconds and that gravity HL2 style gun which isn't what you wanna use on enemies specially in tight quarters and when they're upreal close and that freezing type gun seems pointless. But still scary though but like usual alot gamers who are hyped up won't see it past the graphics.

Left 4 Dead isnt scary because u have mates (u are not alone) and the zombies are making a lot of loud noises so u can hear them before u can see them. A alien in Deadspace is only noticeable when it is to late :D

lol you totally nailed the guys who think this is based off of doom. plus you forgot the fact that this game features awesome weapons and gear. strategic dismemberment, the fact that your guys is a engineer (not a soldier), and the fact that this game involves a awesome storyline. where doom is a very hard and complicated and not the best storyline. oh and the fact that this game involves awesome in moments where this game will make you shit your pants. not saying that doom doesn't have those.

well the REAL way it happened ( watch the anime series ) they are on a mining run..and come by this ancient artifact piece. ( thats what they think ) but really its a home to some sort of alien species. and the aliens end up getting onto the ship..and some of the aliens can make humans go crazy and kill each other while others just turn you into one of them..its pretty interesting you should look up the series. but in the game your playing as a man but it should be a girl cause a girl survived.
