Lisa and Brendan played such a joyous and gracious set at the Sydney Opera House a couple of years ago. It was a privilege and a pleasure to hear them perform, after years of admiring their work from a distance. More power to their pen, guitar stroke chinese dulcimer chime and angelic voice! (then there's Brendan's dulcet Frank Sinatra tones, but that's a whole other comment box!)

A postcard addressed for Lisa : Greetings from Syria, A most mysterious event occurred before were we to engage in fighting [again ] as the other fighters proceeded to move in for engagement this song began to play ( from where, ah, we will never know ) but we stopped and for those few glorious moments - enemies we were not. Peace, A friend ...Hassan

Wow! Reading this now in 2021, when the Coronavirus Pandemic is still with us. Sending you well wishes and hope for peace in your country and safety to you and your family. From your neighbor and fellow 'Dead can Dance' admirer for many years (yes, I am your neighbor in Israel but I am NOT your enemy though unfortunately our countries are).

The art of creating music is a miracle, it is a process capable of generating melodies and rhythms that alter our mood, either to calm it, to excite it, or to immerse it in dreamy atmospheres. And that work in the hands of Dead Can Dance becomes a supreme art because they are in charge of collecting notes that float in the breezes of times past, capturing the sound magic of remote or already dead languages, using voices that range from the already famous Gregorian choirs, to the ethereal voice of Lisa Gerrard and the deep interpretation that resembles timeless litanies of Brendan Perry, to then mix them with the digital instruments and techniques that modern times offer. What Dead Can Dance does is true art, and I have a special place in my heart because I have even listened to their music to write texts and articles that I considered important in my life. And this song is my favorite ❤️

A summer's day decades ago just after the death of any hope of happiness in love in this life, I walked upon a crowded beach having just broken up with the only girl I have ever truly loved, this song playing in my head, trying with all my might not to cry my eyes out in public.

DEAD CAN DANCE. Seen them live in NY at Radio City Hall. An experience you just don',t forget. So glad to see them together again. Brandon is extremely talented. LISA is a Gift to humanity. She's a Vehicle. That Voice Channels Through from a Muse that is Sacred. Brought Tears to many. I've experienced it. Something I'll never forget. She has THE VOICE. Her Beauty goes to many levels. Even today through changes of life. Her VOICE IS THE CONSTANT. This Band LIVE is JOYFUL, SOULFUL AND VERY DEEP ON EMOTIONAL LEVEL. Only a very few artist can really achieve that. PETER GABRIEL , KATE BUSH CAN DO THAT. RAVI SHANKAR MILES. THEY LEAVE YOUR CORE BUZZING.
