speaking of that guy if you have good genetics can you reach a physique like his without juicing?
@jjkent45519 жыл бұрын
+Tony Koter 5 reps then rest for a minute, then another 5 reps and another minute rest and so was the winning strategy, going for 10 reps in the beginning was an awful strategy.

to save you time: 1. 47 reps- Strongman -94 kg 2. 43 reps- strongman- 97 kg 3.39 reps- powerlifter 88kg 4. 36 reps- bodybuilder 97kg 5. 30- bodybuiler- 88kg makes sense to me although they should have replaced bodybuilder with olympic lifters. bodybuilders dont train for strength so its strange to lump them in with lifters who compete on strength.

Had cancer for a year, havent worked out for 10months, underwent surgery, then 3month of the most intensive chemo, and then yet another surgery. 1day in the gym 60kg max deadlift, 15days 135kg, 25days 175kg.. Strength is really comming back fast, but mass is quite slower! Aggresion can be used for progress, as aggression sometimes fuels us way further then any other human feeling. Im all healhy today and still doing some recovery training! Bodybuildingrev motivated me while i was recieving chemo, you guys should pump out more videos :)

+Mode Liukas im 70 kg and i do 5x5 160 kg btw we've got the same goal
@patricklee87898 жыл бұрын
+Mode Liukas I did this after one year. 83kg - 200kg. After two years I weighed the same. 200kg for ten reps. I maxed out at 250kg. Wanna know how? Look up Brandon Lilly and Richard Hawthorne and Eric Lilliebridge. They got all the knowledge you need to get there. Three of the worlds best lifters when it comes to classic style deadlifts. Film yourself until your form looks perfect from every angle. Lift heavy once a week. Every week. Do extremely heavy rack pulls. Do medium heavy deadlifts from a higher block for maximum reps. Over double bodyweight - use a weightlifting belt. Use chalk everytime!!! Never use straps. NEVER USE STRAPS. Find your grip and stay with it! Same thing with stance. Stay with it FOREVER. And now the biggest secret: DO NOT LIFT WITH YOUR BACK MUSCLES. You need to lift with your hip. The deadlift is a pushing movement. Your feet through the floor. And you lift everytime with maximum effort and PRESSURE. There is no heavy deadlift without enough pressure. Breath in - hold it - lift that shit. Peace
@mvyper8 жыл бұрын
Good info man. You're right. Lifting with your back is the best way to snap it. It all comes from the lower body!

Most people will guess that the bodybuilder lost because of lack of strength. That may be a factor, but I believe he lost primarily because he went too hard too soon.
@blankplanet10 жыл бұрын
and he did it to show off. typical bodybuilder mentality. he also looked the softest. felt sorry for him on rest pauses. strongman is the best training protocol
@eduardogutierrez561310 жыл бұрын
***** Also, they know how to save their strength towards the end. If you're the kind of guy who hates crossfit, you'll hate me for this comparison but it's like Rich Froning. He always starts off slow and picks up hard towards the end, once he catches up to the people who've exhausted themselves.
@eduardogutierrez561310 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah, showing off in a competition is never a good idea, specially in one where everyone's probably stronger than you. But, eh, that's what bodybuilding's all about :)
@decensortive91110 жыл бұрын
I agree. Powerlifters and strongmen train for physical competition. A bodybuilding competition is nothing more than posing after an intense period of diet and dehydration. Bodybuilding and Powerlifting are two very different world IMO.

I'm about 73 kilos, tried this with 145 kg(320 ish pounds), roughly double bodyweight. 10 minutes is a pain, The endurance required is stupid high. I got 31. I was completely dead. Brilliant challenge regardless of what weight you are able to pull. A real good shock on the nerves :) Props to the strongmen in killing that.

This was awesome. That kid in the back, sumo lifter, going hard at the beginning burned himself out. I feel like the best strategy is to just pace yourself and go 3 reps every 30 seconds for as long as possible. Drop it down to 2 reps every 30 seconds when it gets to be too much. And then just beast it to failure in the last minute. I feel like that would get you to 50 while keeping you from red lining too soon.

Sehr coole Aktion.

I think the most important is identifying your goal. A lot of guys come to the gym, make the stupid train, after a year their body have no change, they excuse that they are training as a powerlifter or a strongman, but in fact, they are weaker than a bodybuilding trainer in the same weight

I bet the powerlifters could have gotten a lot more reps is he didn't descend the weight with so much control. The strongmen just let it slam down fast, which is smart in this situation. I had my vote on the bald guy in back, but regardless I'm impressed by all of them...
