Hi Duncan. Just 1 day to the 5 months checkpoint let's goooo 🔥 Got 2 questions (idk if you answered them before): what benefit do u find on using cyborg technique? (cause it's clearly at the expense of using less weight). And why do u only do the heels elevated trap bar dl variation? Aren't you afraid of getting overuse injures?

@@madmarian7961 yea man, the days are starting to add up. So the reason why I am using the slow eccentrics is because I get better mind muscle connection, it’s easier on the joints and I find that my positioning is much better. Like you mentioned, the downside of it is, that it is at the expense of the amount of weight and reps you can do. The good thing is that it doesn’t really affect my top end strength. The reason why I am only doing the heels elevated trap bar deadlift is because I wanted to see how much I could get my quads to grow with a deadlift variation. This variation is very quad dominant so I thought it would be a nice experiment. Regarding getting overuse injuries, yes it is a risk but I’ll be adding some variation into my deadlifts soon, I just have 2 more days left of the Smolov Jr. program. I think I am lucky this time around.
