@@paulorocha9301 It is not that absurd with Americas considering they are physically separated by Panama canal and they were connected just by a narrow line of land before that, so the ecosystems, fauna and flora are mostly separated. Europe and Asia are considered separated continents, and they are physically connected and the fauna and flora is much more similar.

Like the criminal response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the drive toward a nuclear World War III, the climate crisis is a consequence of the capitalist system of production that prioritizes private profit over human life and the preservation of the planet itself. Systems for mitigating and preventing environmental disasters have been abandoned in the interests of austerity and militarization in one country after another. And the effects of climate change are only just beginning. A report by the renowned National Institute for Space Research (INPE) published last November showed that rainfall in Rio Grande do Sul could increase by between 20 and 60 percent over the next 30 years, depending on the region of the state. Similar scenarios are predicted for every country in the world. Addressing such foretold tragedies requires the expropriation of the world’s ruling elite and the allocation of vast resources to coordinate a science-based global response to the climate crisis. This can only be achieved through worldwide action by the international working class.

By volume, the dry air in Earth's atmosphere is about 78.08 percent nitrogen, 20.95 percent oxygen, and 0.93 percent argon, adding up to 99.96 percent. A brew of trace gases accounts for the other approximately 0.04 percent, including the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. To think that a small increase (200 parts per million in the last hundred years) of carbon dioxide would affect the weather is absurd.

Thanks Biden, but I rather not. China can help us, since they will invest in infra-structure and trade deals. Much better than simply sending some alms our way that won´t solve anything and at the same time will make many Americans angry about sending money to poor countries. (and I agree with them).

As a brazilian, i must say that there is so much paranoia over this event. There is so much talk about climate change when, in reality, this flood was mostly caused due to a lack of proper infrastructure, which is sadly a common phenomenon throughout the country. Nonsense over man-made concepts such as "climate migration" to further spark fear onto people doesn't help, either.

As our hearts are heavy for our nation, may we never lose sight of the fact that our hope lies in God. One day, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord (Romans 14:11; Philippians 2:10-11). You are our only hope. Please forgive us for placing our trust in government, political ideology, comfort, and financial security. By Υour power Lord, teach us to live with the knowledge that heaven is our citizenship (Philippians 3:20).
