Shelters know that “resource aggressive” puppies are often returned within a year. They will then adopt out the returned puppies (now adolescents)...And the cycle continues. Some puppies are born w/ a very high prey drive (not resource guarding) and should never be left alone w/ small children/animas. A conscientious/honest shelter owner would hold any puppy exhibiting issues that aren’t kid/family friendly, in foster care, until they can find an appropriate home.

Absolutely. However it’s very very rare to see a person with Sue’s honesty about the reality of dangerous aggressive dogs. Shelters now are so desperate to adopt out dangerous dogs - which are pit bulls as their population has exploded - they lie/minimize the dog’s history and the person who adopts and their children and pets suffer.

Wow...they are puppies! All puppies will mouth until they are taught not to. Easiest way is to exaggerate and cry out loudly and then refuse to play. Puppies are mortified that they hurt you. I've had a lot of dogs from Shepherd to Maltese from puppy to death and they all did it and learned. You're a professional?!?!?

Pit bulls are prized by dog fighters when the "good" puppies kill litter mates at 10 weeks. Dog men describe brag that these puppies are "on fire". You support dog fighters and their work to continue to create psychopath dogs when you resist BSL and resist outlawing the dog men's intentional selective breeding for deadly dog aggression. The comments on game dog, sporting dog yard videos indicate that dog fighters think the dogs of today are better dog killers than dogs of the past. One form of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. It's insane to hope we can stop dog fighting when dog fighters receive support to continue breeding dog killing dogs.

@@whoknew5333 BSL is not the solution, game bred apbt often have DA and Animal Aggression, thats it People who continue to produce HA 'pitbulls' are just byb or 'dogmen' dont want a dog with DA? dont get an apbt! they literally just need management or to buy from a line in which DA and SSA isnt common, which good luck with that when will people begin blaming bad breeders producing HA dogs, and people who buy apbt and fail to manage the genetic dog aggression giant schnauzers have DA in game lines, and American Akitas have dog aggression in their working lines. Bull baiting breeds tend to have DA in their game lines.

Really disappointed to see this on Tawzer dog. I am interested in Grisha's bat training videos, but now I don't know if that is worth the cost. I watched Stuenberg's assessment protocol with the pit bull Dusty, it was horrendous. Horrifying. I wouldn't subject any dog to that crap, let alone an abandoned, terrified, stress panting freaked out dog, with echoing relentless barking in the background, in a small scary room with an uncaring, unsupportive handler, it was so heart breaking to watch. That poor dog was so good considering the cruel bull shit that was being heaped on her. Everything about that so called assessment was straight up evil, cruel. I am not a no kill advocate, but I am also no advocate if abusing a frightened, stressed abandoned dog until they lose their shit. And Tawzer dog is promoting this crap? Yeah, no respect from me any more. I will be traumatized, heart broken, for a while, understanding the cruelty dogs in American pounds are subjected to because of that insane woman. Just simply insane. So much cruelty was performed against that poor dog, I had to stop watching. Tawzer dog, shame on you. I have long watched Emily Larham, I will be writing her, wanting an explanation as to why she has anything to do with you. Talk about a bunch of hypocrites!

Tawzer dog is supporting genuine experts, which Sue is - and that specific dog had major issues. But we know the refrain - pits are not overbred and flooding shelters, pits are perfectly predictable and friendly “velvet hippos” 🤮, pits never attack babies and toddlers without some “trigger,” chihuahuas are the most dangerous dogs on the planet…blah blah blah. Some people are tired of the obvious endless lying. There is a reason pits take up over 90% of dog shelter space and stay there for years.

Please be very careful with this woman. I surrendered a Pit Puppy to the Bucks County SPCA in Pennsylvania where this woman is employed. This was a hyper dog, as are ALL puppies. However while in my care, I was able to calm him down....and I'm not a dog "expert." After a few months went by and I did not see my dog posted on their website, I called and learned that Sue Sternberg determined that "Desmond was too hyper." She advised Euthanasia. Sue Sternberg, who's statements on her website are seemingly very snooty and defensive to widespread criticism, is of the opinion that complaints about her are only because she is Jewish. Clearly she has no ability to say, "I was wrong." Could she possibly be any more unprofessional, unethical, uncompassionate and disingenuous? Sue, while watching this video, I noticed that you seem to be speaking rather fast; perhaps you are a tad bit hyper. I think it would be an excellent activity for you to change careers and become a prison guard. That way you will be able to more closely identify and surround your psyche with murders and criminals like yourself. You are NO animal advocate. You are being paid by the BCSPCA to put Pit Bulls to sleep because they are difficult to place. You are not fooling anyone. I look forward to writing my next nationally read blog on you!!!! Hugs, JM

Joanne Moore not all puppies are " Hyper " and you throwing rocks at someone saying that they have no compassion is about a joke. You're the one who dumped the puppy possibly because you were unable to " deal with it " . I'm a veterinary tech and have to be exposed to this breed on a daily bases. I seen enough far as heartbreak these dogs have caused. If I had my way...THIS BREED WOULD BE BANNED INTO OBLIVION and the remaining life specimens destroyed or confined ‼️

Too hart to handle for you but now your getting all bitchy because most of these centers are overrun with dogs and simply don't have the time and resources to deal with difficult puppy's. did you know, if they place a pup or dog knowing it has issues and that dog bites someone, they can get sued ! D90Girl, "Dumped the puppy?" She didnt dump the puppy. She surrendered him over to the care of a shelter. Dumping would be throwing the dog on the streets, or leaving them in the yard cause you dont want him. She did the right thing! There is no rule saying if you adopt a dog you MUST keep it. When adopting shelter dogs, you never know what kind of pup your bringing home. You could adopt out the most fearful stressed quiet one, but once hes in your home and feel safe he may turn out to be the most outgoing and fun dog ever! Who gives to sh*ts if you're a vet tech, vet tech means nothing, cause CLEARLY you know nothing about animals. With how you believe the pit bulls are the problem, not the owners. Because its not just pits who can cause harm, ANY poorly trained, under socialized dog and cause great harm. You m'am should be banned into oblivion. Some "vet tech" you are..... Lastly, so what if she was unable to accommodate a hyper active dog, that doesnt make her any less of a person than you. In the end all that matters is that she made the right choice in re homing him, and not throwing him to the streets as a stray.
