Deadpool's skin not being as obviously fucked up actually reminds me of something in comics. There's a period in the comics where Wade's family life is good and his friendship with Spider-Man is solid, and because he actually feels happy about himself, his face actually clears up. Basically, because he feels good, he looks good. When his self-image is negative, his face and body disfigure themselves again.

Something they don't really explain in this movie is that Dominos power isn't really having luck, it's stealing other people's luck. It's why every time something lucky happens to her, someone else dies around her (IE all the civilian deaths when she is running). Which is probably why the rest of xforce died. She stole their luck to survive
