I think given the situation, the fast pace and such, the jokes just wouldn't work in the final film? The test footage was more "laid back" where the film goes from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds.

In the deadpool game he kills the sinister by foot of a robot using his dog to control it.... From the start he was planning it but it will only make sense to you at the end.... Props to Ryan and that creative team. More proof that Hollywood marketing execs and big studios BLOCK INNOVATION, thank goodness creatives can punch thru! I like both scenes, one in film had the amazing slow mo spinning car of death w/credits, so don't forget they were building that up. In movie, Deadpool is very loosely connected to reality and then crazy when his head/brain is punctured. In comics, no cranial puncturing necessary for the insanity. Different medium, so likely having Deadpool be a bit more grounded in reality is good. His plans are still quite zany!!

ik I'm a year late but the leaked footage was probably made around 2010, Ryan said it sat on Fox's shelf for 4 years before someone leaked it, and 2 years after the leak the Deadpool movie came out, so there is around a 6 year difference between the footages

No idea how common this fact is but the test footage was animated entirely via performance capture(Real people doing the performances, covered with trackers on a mocap stage. I also say performance capture as that was the exact word used in the video talking about the test footage, even though I think DP was the only fully percapped, since he was the only one talking and emoting. Rest of the guys were just moving.)
