There is a fourth wall breaking easter egg that I was excited to catch. When Deadpool gets out of the cab before attacking Francis and crew, he says to Dopinder, "Merry Christmas". But Dopinder says, "And a convivial Tuesday in April to you too, Pool!" The release date for Deadpool on digital download was April 26th, 2016. A convivial Tuesday in April, indeed. I bought it that day and I cracked up at the cleverness of a fourth wall break that could only happen this way.

From the very first movie, I couldn't wait to see Vanessa reveal that she could shapeshift at some point within the trilogy... and it never happened because of Ryan Reynolds?! What was even the point in calling her "Vanessa" if it wasn't a hint as to her real identity, Ryan?! That was the only thing really that disappointed me in these movies, though. Which makes this one helluva trilogy!

Off topic, but I can't help noticing that you seem to have only the second volume of "The New Republic". Gotta recommend the first one! It's more about the side characters than our trio of heroes, but it has very interesting stories and some incredibly powerful moments! The bulk of it is about Rogue Squadron and their battle with a disorganized Empire filled with infighting and betrayal to fill the empty throne left after Palpatine's death. Not to spoil anything, but only a taste of what you get outside of the main story: a backstory for Wedge that actually made me feel for the guy; you see the moment that Biggs defected from the Empire in a flashback; and you even get a story involving Bib Fortuna that shows just how conniving he is! It's a very good time.
