My condolences to your dad! I have similar experiences with my mom, I too wish i could watch this with her but unfortunately she passed from cancer. The last movie we ever watched together was NWH and I'm happy she got to see the three Spider-Man team up because it caught her off guard she was not expecting Tobey 😂 so it was a very magical moment to me to see her reaction lol.

It's pretty much illegal to say that when the Marvels wasn't that bad, GOTG Vol. 3 was one of their best films in years, same with Wakanda Forever, Love and Thunder was indeed just unimportant to the universe as a whole, Multierse of Madness was enjoyable, No Way Home was amazing, Eternals was dogshit, Shang Chi was amazing and Black Widow (besides one frame) wasn't that bad. There's one mid film and one dogshit film, you´re exaggerating

The Marvels was dogshit bad and performed horribly and wss their first major loss at the box office, which is what made Marvel have to accept that they were not omnipotent and that they needed to pivot. Everyone hated Wakanda Forever, that they didnt recast T'Challa and how they handled Namor. Love and Thunder almost made Hemsworth quit the role and he has officially sworn off working with Waititi anymore and that the Thor films need to get gritty and serious again. Blade can't even get made, despite the fact all the tools should be there to get it finished. Secret Invasion was dogshit terrible and retconned far too many things and lets not even mention She Hulk AT ALL. The only bangers to come out of modern Marvel is No Way Home, Loki Season 1 & 2, and Guardians Vol. 3. Thats it. Multiverse of Madness was underwhelming but not so much that Strange can't rebound with a great 3rd and 4th movie. Shang Chi was very good. Marvel has been misfiring and losing A LOT aside from those movies. As it stands: Deadpool, Strange, Spiderman, Daredevil, Loki are the only ones keeping the MCU honestly afloat.

I’ve seen it twice so far. The first time, in IMAX 3D and 4D, the second being on the standard screen. It’s an exceptional work of art. So much thought and heart went into this. I believe, influential for all genres of film. This version of Like A Prayer in the movie just upped the intensity.
