Because the actors wanted this movie, the fans wanted this movie, and this movie was designed to meet people's expectations and give them pleasure... all this made that marketing work. Defenders of The Marvels say that the difference in marketing played a huge part in the difference in success of the two films... Imagine if The Marvels had done the same marketing... it would have been a total failure, they would never have had this kind of reaction from the public all over the world. Respect the public and the film will be a success... put a big marketing behind it and if you respect the public that marketing will be a success... success + success = the film will be a HUGE banger!

Before FOTR was released, Peter Jackson said he couldn't make a film that fans would love because every fan has a different version of the story in their head; he could only make a film that *he* would love, and hope that others liked it too.
