I used to enjoy his content like ages ago, around the time I started watching channels like Fredrik Knudsen and Nexpo. I thought his crusade against predators was valiant, but even then I felt something about it was just... off? His much older videos are completely different compared to what he started to make, and his new stuff is almost baffling in how bizarre and edgy it can get. Obviously filming a youtube video is gonna have these moments, but I can't help but think about the amount of time he must spend sitting in his dimly lit room with red lighting pouring fake blood on himself, its just fucking weird. Child predators are serious threats, and I have no sympathy for them whatsoever. Mamamax's approach to tackling the subject, though, feels kind of counterintuitive. All the blood, the stupidly edgy imagery, and the cultist obsession. It feels self-aggrandizing and creepy, and detracts from the subject. HE feels like the predator in these scenes, it is not a good look. "These child predators deserve to be gutted and disemboweled, now I'm going to kiss the microphone and talk in a low voice like this is an ASMR video. Please keep looking at me, I'm the main character, aren't I cool?"

It began with his video on that game, I think called something like "this game tries to brainwash you" or "this game was made by a cult" It then continued into a video covering an obscure cult classic (the other kind) Japanese game that he alleged a viewer sent him after it gave her child a seizure or something, I do not remember this video's title. But the game was Rolypolys no Nanakorobiyaoki. He ends the video by alleging that the "viewer" who "sent" this game to him was actually a member of Aleph attempting to gain access to his personal information/harm him, complete with google translate japanese. Im unsure if these videos still exist on some archive channel somewhere, but they are an amazing early example of his ego and his ability to just make shit up for views. You can't guilt someone into turning their channel's subject matter into something like child endangerment for many reasons. I don't think he realizes that even a fully-functional adult still might not be in the right headspace to talk about something (through having history of abuse themselves) or just not being as well informed, or not wanting to dedicate too much time and effort into a completely new subject matter on their channel which often times is someones full-time job. Plus he didnt think far ahead with the youtubers hes chosen since typically, viewers of their content will watch the content that they consistently do (gamers watching gameplay/reviews, people watching deepdives into certain topics, bookworms to booktube etc...). If the content creator makes a video unrelated to their typical content, only a portion of those at most would watch it. Its not gonna have their average audience for it. So while many in that audience would be aware of child exploitation by their content creator mentioning maxs cause, it wouldnt nearly reach the average audience as he'd want it too. Its just how the internet works.

I casually enjoyed Mamamax's videos a good while back. They gave me a weird vibe and definitely felt overproduced, but I saw people in the comments who were CSA victims, young and scared, talking about how his content was very comforting to them. I wish he would've gone that route, to entertain and comfort those hurt by the system, instead of.. for some reason deciding to straddle that line and try to alter society himself? These social systems are terrible. People deserve to be protected. I don’t think these people necessarily do anything wrong but there’s only so many times I can watch a video about “mrsprinkle: the roblox predator” while fnaf music plays in the background and you see their rantsona zoom in and out of the frame. It’s just a little dystopian personally. Mamamax is definitely the worst because he makes all of this shit into his own art project that is 100% self-serving. I think part of the reason why JCS got popular was because he was no bullshit, straight to the point and had minimal editing.
