Deaf couple always serving others is stunned when a Secret Santa has a gift for them

A local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.
Every day from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and today we are visiting Kent and Marlene.
They are a truly inspiring couple who embody generosity and kindness, even while facing significant hardships. They are both deaf and have recently experienced the misfortune of losing their jobs.
At work, Kent and Marlene were cherished by all. Their colleagues made sincere efforts to communicate with them through sign language, which Kent and Marlene deeply appreciated. They patiently and kindly taught sign language to anyone willing to learn, fostering a warm and inclusive environment.
In spite of their own difficulties, Kent and Marlene continue to give selflessly. Every Monday, they dedicate their time to cleaning the home of a 97-year-old deaf woman, ensuring she lives in a clean and safe environment. This act of kindness is just one example of their unwavering commitment to helping others even when they have so little themselves.
Despite these challenges, they never complain about their situation.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to visit Kent and Marlene with an early Christmas gift. Watch the surprise in the video player above!

This is my favorite so far this year! My kids and I received a washer and dryer from this exact Secret Santa several years ago. It continues to not only wash our clothes (4 children and I) but it's now washing my mom's clothing too ❤ My point here is I can vouch for how much these Secret Santa surprises change the recipients lives! So very thankful for Secret Santa and sending out a Merry Christmas to all!

Here is a tip, if you have a five-year warranty, call to have both inspected for noise and performance... The warrantee will likely cover new belts, fuses, and small mechanical issues.. Do it ASAP before it expires and if not sure if you have an extended call the company which you bought the items-they should have a record...

Someone in the comments below (I shared my thoughts in a reply to that, as well) dared to suggest that the gifts awarded here are not commensurate with gifts given to other Secret Santa recipients. I find it amazing that anyone could witness all these Secret Santa videos and find any reason to be critical. Each and every one of these recipients has been identified as someone deserving of help, and Secret Santa has, willingly and generously, agreed and has provided enormous help that gave/gives them a trul supporting and uplifting hand. Not one of the recipients asked for this help nor knew that they were to receive their gifts. To be critical of the gifts that any of these deserving people are awarded stinks of it coming from someone that has a life of entitlement, preventing whomever is being critical from accepting and appreciating the true meaning of Christmas, and recognizing the incredible generosity of this amazingly wonderful Secret Santa!

I'm partially deaf myself. I have about 5% hearing in my right ear and in my left ear about 90%, so sometimes I have to rely on these videos being closed captioned and I appreciate East Idaho News doing that especially for the hearing impaired.

I keep wishing I'd win the lottery or somehow come into a lot of money, this secret santa thing would be exactly what I'd use most of the money for....Especially to help kids...being unmarried, and not having kids, I'd love to be able to help as many kids as I could with whatever their needs are...homelessness, school supplies, you name it....that would be the goal I'd have if I ever somehow managed to have a lot of money, would be to make sure all the kids are taken care of in the town I live in....we have a lot of homeless kids and low income here, its sad, and hard to not be able to do anything to help them.

Just took the first course of german signlanguage.our teacher is deaf,and he told us,that deaf people often were not included when they are together with hearing people.The energy to explain is too much for hearing people.
