I'm the kind of guy who can buy a new car today if I get a good deal - or I could keep driving my 2004 4Runner for another 5 or 6 years if dealerships want to keep playing games. I tried to buy a 24 Gladiator for 2 months and from 4 different dealers. It has been the worst and most frustrating process Iv ever experienced. The RipOff factor is evident at all levels, and once I let them know I was onto their game, they flat out refused to sell me the truck. Fraud is what these dealers should be sued for.

Anyone paying more than $35K for a Wrangler or Gladiator is crazy. Several months ago I took my 15 year old Escalade in for service. The dealer didn’t have any loaners available so they arranged for me to get a vehicle from the nearby Enterprise Rental. Of the three cars that were available, I picked the blue hybrid Wrangler. I ended up keeping the vehicle for 4 days. The car was fun to drive in the city on smooth roads, gas efficient, somewhat comfortable, and interestingly quick between 0-50mph. However, this is perhaps the worse auto that I’ve ever driven on the highway/interstate. There is so much wind noise and changing lines at highway speeds incites both terror and giggles. City street potholes are not a friend to the Wrangler-you might think otherwise but the tires and suspension are made for trails and rock climbing. The auto start stop function is absolutely diabolical. It’s so annoying and rough. Finally, the overall build quality is a jokey joke. I can’t imagine how the Wrangler body is able to handle the 382. That thing must be absolutely awful and terrifying. It probably wants to shake itself apart at every throttle input.

Will dealerships stop trying to charge us for presale inspections that were already paid for by the manufacturers? When will dealers stop trying to force us to buy $300 worth of tacky add-ons for $2,500? Will dealers stop trying to charge $900 for doing the paperwork that takes a grand total of 15 minutes to complete? Will they stop putting $10,000 market adjustments on average cars and acting like they're "super rare" and the only place in the world that has one? Will they at least stop listing cars that are in transit as "in stock" on their websites?

Toyota’s iMV 0 in Japan is something I wish American Car Companies would try to recreate. It is a $15,000 Barebones Workhorse. Very Easy to assemble and manufacture. Contractors and those who actually need trucks for work don’t need a 75k truck to move a fridge and tools.

@ The car doesn’t meet standards of US automobile laws so you can’t drive it on actual roads. If it did and dealerships got, it probably would go for 25k assuming no chicken tax and only mark ups. The Chicken Tax applies to any car imports not made 25 years ago that would make it not a desirable investment for dealerships. However if we manufactured more in the US and made new barebones no tech sturdy cars I think people would eat them up for a good price. But I know they would never do that.

Good Dealerships are scams, and they need to be shut down. My friend is a multi-millionaire. He says I can afford to purchase any vehicle I want. I never buy anything new; as soon as it leaves the lot, it's a used vehicle. Also is a 30% loss so when buying a lease return, they have great service records. requirements from the lease. Also, research an extended warranty that will cover all repairs. also provides rental car why being repaired. Good Luck with a new ride.

Jeep has 20% below MSRP for Gladiators on their website, but nothing for the Wrangler. I have seen a lot of Gladiators for 35% below MSRP, but the most I have seen a Wrangler is 13% below MSRP. I want to get a Rubicon 392, but I am not paying $100K.

Staying on a lot for that long cant be good..are they even changing the oil or starting them up changing the fuel every year so it dose not spoil.. I doubt it..things can lock up. Jeep is far from a luxury brand, they might try but with no success is left over junk, I saw shockingly a base wagoneer was silver with black interior, basic wheels 69 grand didn’t have a mark up surprisingly, next to it a fully loaded summit edition jeep grand Cherokee for 76 grand had some BS 3 grand protection paint interior package so 81 grand and it’s smaller in size, so so so many left overs I found a Laredo I guess base version of the grand Cherokee they wanted 45 grand included added 2 grand crap protection, all black super dirty, majority of vehicles dirty looked like a ghost town no employees walking outside rather pathetic, saw no deals or discounts on anything, actutally I take that back they had some used with like a grand or two off all,over 20,000 miles, pass on bye bye 👋 😮
