The RAM Quad Cab that you said was deficient because it did not have a full-size backseat is a long-bed work truck. I have a Quad Cab RAM Express with the 6’4” bed. If you put a tool box in the bed of a short-bed truck - it will eat up the space such that you don’t have much usable bed area left. And putting a long-bed on a full-size cab makes it ridiculously long and difficult to manage in parking lots. FYI. It’s a Quad-Cab for a reason.

No it's 100% inflation. If you want to know how much is inflation and how much is greed just look at housing prices. That’s a big reason why I got a gmc canyon 23 evaluation rwd ; in may 2024! Msrp around $40k and discount took me around $34.5k. I was looking at maverick to save some money, but getting a better tow capacity, I had to get awd and all the packages took me to $39k for the maverick, so I was able to get get a new canyon with a more capable truck at dang near the same price. I bought a 2019 Ram BigHorn 5.7 brand new for 36k to 39k in late 2018 i think. same truck itty bitty differences and its 2 or 3 times the price. It's for sure greed taking over. I highly doubt stuff started getting more expensive to build a truck where they had to tack on 40k plus. Mostly to line the higher ups pockets at the end of the day.

Do an article on Harley Davidson. You'll find 2 years old units on the showroom floor that they still want full list price on. If not more. In addition to that, you'll find aftermarket bling, not Harley Davidson parts, installed. As well as the markups to reflect that.

The quality is so terrible on every manufacturer now that lot rot is a real thing to look for. The dealers are now marking up also by spraying undercoating to cover the rust and convince the customer that it's a really good thing. Look for fresh undercoating, it's apparent and a disguise.

These large corporations have forgotten the law of economics. Do that at your own peril.
@gorkyd791214 күн бұрын
The corporations don't control inflation they just experience it. Can't lower prices because the costs are already up 60%. But can't keep prices high because the consumer is broke. Nothing they can do. They milked the free stimulus money while they could, they would have been stupid not to, but the money is gone. If they didn't raise prices and milk it they would still be in this exact same position just with less money in the bank.

My grandpa drove a ford platinum for YEARS. He had a blue one for a long time and then got a new white one, but he decided recently to switch to a GMC. I don’t know exactly why he switched but my guess is that he was tired of not only the ridiculous prices, but tired of all the recalls he had to deal with with his ford. It seems like every month he had some little part of his truck that had a recall and he had to bring it in to correct it. The one I remember the best was a tiny little part where the seatbelt connects to the seat. He was fed up.
