The Four runner sitting next to the blue and underground Tacomas, would be the one to buy. Dealers really inflate their price when they do the lift and wheel/tire upgrade. Buy the tires and wheels you want, not something the dealer chose.

Yeah, they just want to bring in buyers to the dealership, they know they will recoup a chunk of change when they resell/auction off trade ins. I got a call from my Local Yota dealership last week about “buying” my 2012 Taco. I’m good, I keeping Truck until the wheels fall off. I’ll keep that $1K it would cost monthly for a 2024 Taco.

Believe it or not, a lot of people prefer to not have the factory leather & sunroof. As someone whose family has been in the upholstery business since the 60’s, stock leather is trash & sunroofs cause more issues than they’re worth. Cloth holds up better over time & can always be upgraded for essentially the same price you’d pay for that extra feature from the factory. If you really want leather, something like Katzkin or Roadwire is a much higher quality leather vs factory leather anyways.

Exactly what I was trying to see in the video is that the dealership added leather to the truck for under $2000 I believe I do like having a sunroof unfortunately for me I haven’t had any troubles with any of them but I don’t hold onto vehicles were very long. @@littlekennytv5668 if you don’t keep a vehicle for longer than the warranty period, those issues I mentioned aren’t something you would have to worry about. I would only suggest staying away from those features if you plan to keep a vehicle for 100k+ miles. Short-term, moonroof or factory leather isn’t an issue as those are more possible longterm issues. I hate losing money to dealerships so I only buy new every 10-15 year. I’ve considered trading to a newer model before but just can’t stomach the loss. Typically why I always prefer lightly used (1-2 years old) so someone else can take that hit but with Tacomas it’s almost better to just buy new as the used ones are just as expensive.

i don't work for this dealership but that lift kit is $1199.95 on readylift's website by itself without labor and those BFG tires are 409.99 (cheapest i could find on google) a piece without install. KMC wheels are $287.00 each on KMC's website (again no install and no lugnut install kit included). all those prices also don't include labor prices for install. knowing a dealership i'll rough it and say 12 hours (ridiculous but realistic). The regions average rate is around $175.00 per hour currently. total so far = $6088.00 + 370 for console safe which is toyota MSRP no markup price so fair and plus $1495.00 for leather (having installed this type of leather myself) that is another 6 - 12 hours of work so i'd say that's a cheap price for leather. This brings us to $7953 and they have it at $8900 total. Not great but not horrible. Still your boomer-ness is showing with the numbers you think are "fair" being 1/3 of what MSRP for it all is. Even if you found all these items at 50% off you'd still come up thousands of dollars under valued. Pro tip to myself, buy a used product from you in the future because you won't have even the faintest of clue how to value anything.

Silly pricing! If you are going for a 2024, hold out for the right deal on a TRD OR premium hybrid with a 6 foot bed. That's going to be your maximum ROI if you can get a deal on it. Otherwise, I would gold out for a 25 or 26.
