Ive had the best luck with both holes and I really like those carbs once there fixed. Good deal man.

If that was a head that kept leaking in the same spot I would put 400grit on a piece of glass and wet sand both sides flat. Hopefully you got it straightened out, but if it comes back that’s something to consider.

I use Vaseline on new gaskets being put into a rebuild carb..
