I'm 36 and stopped coloring my hair a year ago. People do make comments, but I really don't care. I love my gray hair! Sending support from Croatia, Europe❤️

Hi I’m 13 months in. And I’m still not sure I like my grow out. I’m very salt and pepper. I have days where I want to colour it. And other days. I’m good about my gray. Ups and downs all the time. Thanks you. Your awsome

Thanks for sharing your experience, Janie! How much longer do you think you have left in the transition?
@MyLifeInTheDesert4 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way especially since I’m getting married at the end of 2021. I will be fully transitioned by then but the idea of being gray in the wedding dress... I’m worried about looking washed out in an ivory dress so I started looking at other color dresses and today I thought I needed to color my hair because I look old. I’m a mess!

Happy Thanksgiving! Excellent I agree and well said. One old saying I think of is “consider the source “ instead of feeling hurt we realize where the other person is coming from.

You have a beautiful face and lovely, sparkly, endearing and warm presentation style. Everything you say is absolutely correct and so insightful. How could anyone say a negative comment to you, your just lovely. I’d suggest they’re just a little bit envious and want to put you down so they can feel big. These people need to keep they’re opinions to themselves unless we ask for them. Relax you’ve got this.

Yep it’s funny only last week someone says to me ‘ don’t you feel depressed growing grey hair like that?’ To be honest I was shocked that anyone could be so ruthless! I just said ‘No! But are you trying to make me feel depressed saying things like that?!’ I should have just ignored it and said something smart like that comment says more about you than me...hindsight!

Pozdrav iz Hrvatske (Croatia) 🇭🇷 I support your decision. Since 2007. I stopped dyeing my hair. Don't have much grays but love to see them. Even on my eyebrows 😁 You're positive and very sympatic, there is a good vibe and that's why I subscribed. If it was the opposite I would never even waste my time writing negative comments. Remember 1 thing, the ones who react negative and badly they react from within themselves. Like you triggered something without provoking them on purpose. So it is about them, not you dear ❤️ I'm a generation of '83 and still believe in kindness. Namaste 🙏

Yes, it's so true about provoking something within that person and they react. Framing it that way is helpful ❤️

A great video. Your hair looks lovely. I have been growing out my grey since March. It is the best decision I have made. I also think that when people make negative comments, it says a lot more about them, than the person they are saying them to. I look forward to your next video.

This is true and helpful. I just found you. I'm 4 months in with only about 1 inch of growth I will be 50thiw year and I just want to see what my natural hair looks like. Who knows if I will make it. But it's kind of fun right now.

Thank you I appreciate this video. Lots of comments bother me and that’s how I am moving through my issues. In fact I am very thankful to them in an underhanded way because they show me what my beliefs about myself are. Bless you

100% fan but can't agree completely about what you address and what you don't: while most opinions can be ignored, addressing those that negatively affect you & your experiences might be very valuable and even imperative to protecting yourself & your experiences. just my 2¢ tho. keep up the great grey work - woohoo!

Thanks for sharing! There are definitely a few things I thought of right after I published this video (like, what do actually do about it). I absolutely think we can grow from addressing our reactions to others comments.

Yes!!!!!! It happened to me I’m almost 6 months in my transition!!!!!! I have positive and negative!!!! The nagative say oh how old are you , oh the gray doesn’t look good on you, so I understand!!!!!! And yes it hurts! But I’m going to keep going! Thank you for sharing god bless 👩🏻🦳💜

Yes, I call it the root of the issue. I keep that in mind when someone gets a little offended about something i say and they may have a negative response. It's not me and it's not really them, but for them there is a root of the issue for them :)
@DitchingDietsDye4 жыл бұрын
So right! You can accidentally trigger a response you didn't expect even when not saying something negative.

Hi..Caught up with your previous videos. Been going through everything that you speak of. I’m almost sure that I don’t wanna turn back. It’s more difficult on some days than others though. But now on those days will catch a video of yours. Thank you for sharing.

It's definitely a roller coaster ride! As a friend shared with me, the growth is way more than just hair!

I agreed with everything you've said in this video. At the end of the day you got to do what's best for you and don't listen to other people's negative opinions. You have one life to live so do what YOU want and it's nobody's business what you do with your own hair. 😀 Personally I think it's rude commenting on another person's appearance. What business is it of theirs? I bet they don't look like supermodels, do they? Great video! 😀 You're very pretty and you're not going to look old with grey hair. It's just a colour. They're probably jealous you don't have to dye your roots every three weeks anymore. Nobody has commented on my growing out hair yet but if they did I would tell 'em where to go! 😂😅
