@victoria jonas This was an amazing message and answered a lot of questions I had… it doesn’t change the circumstance or the hurt but at least I know that Jesus understands the depth of the pain and I can trust him to guide me through it. Thank you❤ Please i will like you to tell me more about Investment because i need to go into it..

I cannot thank these 3 individuals enough. I have been listening to several of their videos here lately after reading 2 of Lysa’s books (It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way and Forgiving What You Can’t Forget). It’s almost as if they are personal friends that hear me, understand me and encourage me as I go through one of the darkest times in my life. God bless these 3 souls as they minister to so many in need. ❤

Wow Jim and Joel, I really needed to hear that about Grief. He just talked over me anytime he wanted and for years he did it, always accusing me of interrupting him while he did it. A year out and I have to say “grief has been my friend in this time”. The release of dopamine which has removed the brain fog as I sobbed and processed the pain with God leaves such a clean, healing balm. I feel stronger and more level headed after facing it. So if you are struggling with the grief I encourage you to lean into it and get grounded. The Lord will not leave you there.

That’s exactly what I did once I heard these podcasts and read Lysa’s books. I used a mega phone grenade style and it backfired on me so I retreated back to my turtle shell and meek mouse like behavior. I needed to hear this thank you. I need counseling for sure I’m broken 😢but God can heal me if I let Him

THANK YOU 🙏 I love these conversations because I feel like when you go to therapy, some Therapists aren't this REAL because they have to be wise and careful with what they advise to a patient. Is this information applicable to all kinds of relationships, or just for romantic relationships? I loved when Jim mentioned the scripture passage of Jesus and the woman at the well, the 4 G's (grovel, Grounded, grandstand and grief), also, when Lisa said, "Call out hurt, without expressing and creating more hurt." Loved when Dr. Muddamalle talked about the serpent at the Garden of Eden and wrote word by word everything he said. Thank you!

Hi Lysa! Can you or Jim do a little short video about what qualities to look for in a therapist and if possible, a "how to find" a good therapist?

Let’s make sure we aren’t making too big a deal about the alleged abuse. Don’t be a mouse..but don’t be a megaphone either. Don’t gravel but keep it under grandstanding. Let’s make sure we are grounded when we speak of the trauma that caused us hurt, while being so careful we don’t cause more hurt by being emotionally unregulated. We can’t genuinely forgive the abusers unless we master the emotional and conversational do’s and don’t’s of communicating our trauma to others. Are you now 2nd guessing your own experiences? Are you no longer confident in getting your story out there? Are you worried you may not be believed unless you get it “just right”? Are you doubting your own reality more than ever? That’s just your unregulated emotions trying to get you to feel feelings and not be a robot.

All of this happens so we can discover that everything we are seeking through other people is not actually coming from them. It's coming from God.
