Just to point out at 8:32 the guys ankle was caught in a bad position and dean went to move it for the guy so he didn't get hurt. That's the kind of guy he is want's to win but is still looking out for his opponent. That's a tremendous display of control in my opinion.
@stuartcooperfilms4 жыл бұрын
Mitchell Khan I noticed that too. Dean is always a good sport win or lose
@putpixel48044 жыл бұрын
Yeap he could easily injury the guy and win. Guys like lister are best training partners and are very rare
@listerdean23324 жыл бұрын
I never thought anyone noticed this. It was a simple thought, his ankle was twisted and I didn’t want to win that way. :)). Thanks for watching

Please do more with Dean! I randomly decided to look up some of his lessons that I always go back to from time to time, and this was just posted yesterday! I never ever get tired of watching him or listening to interviews. I'm 38 and he's the only person I would do anything to go to one of his seminars. Huge respect for him. He's done it all from mma to countless grappling competitions. I love the story he tells about going to Brazil and winning. Great film!

Dean fights on such a full spectrum dominance level, even in the fog of combat, thinking seemingly several moves ahead on positioning locks, that his nickname should be Dean "Check Mate" Lister or Dean "OODA LOOP Assailant" Lister. What a delight to watch Dean conduct his mental and physical chess game on the octagon board. Bravo for the visual treats in this video, and the glimpse of a true professional at his craft. It's Dean's world when he enters the octagon and the opponents, though professionals themselves, often just look like pawns on the octagon game board.

4:00 is why leg locks are scary when used because you may genuinely not have any intent to hurt someone but if they don't know and start to twist and fight the wrong way against it or freak out, they can hurt themselves and you end up, like it looks like Dean did, feeling bad. But oh how the knowledge base has evolved in 7 years!
