Back in the mid nineties, when I training with Jean Jaques Machado, Gene LeBell would occasionally show up and teach the students some techniques and submissions. Gene would show us how to do a particular submission and then show us "another way" of doing the same submission, one that would cause much more pain. So he'd show the first way and say, "you could do it this way"; then show us the second way and say, "or you could do it this way, but that wouldn't be very nice." Gene was awesome!

Spent the next 30 seconds trying to see if he had cut me or tore something off but there wasnt even much of a mark . The First one is Very good Hail Mary tool .in case you found yourself on the ground .and it being so rarely seen if ever by most people . you can use it to cause debilitating damage to your would be attacker fast and run away, or quickly to go back up on your feet to face what is now very concerned co attackers. This is one of the best “wtf just happened “ moves . . Just learn how to do it fast . cause if not? He can use his other foot to kick you in the face . As for the Last one. My advice? don’t ever do that unless in mortal danger or a real pro. You can maim or kill with that.easily.

The other thing that should scare anybody paying attention is that Jocko is actually close with the Gracie family and has rolled with several of them. These are the people who invented the form as we know it, and I have to believe there are some "innovations" they keep for only those close to them. Nasty, painful innovations... The impulse to chuckle when causing pain seems to be a trait that sport brings out in its more advanced students. It will turn off some, but those who leave probably didn't really belong in a jiu jitsu dojo anyway. There is a warrior culture in such places, and it isn't for everyone.

4:30 "it feels like you're head is going to leave your body, I don't think that's going to happen but it feels like it." I looked at the physics of this after Connor tapped to it, apparently it takes 1000 foot-pounds of torque of more to break a person's neck by twisting. So it would be almost impossible with just arm strength. But fighters like these could certainly apply 250 foot-pounds with the arms alone, so it makes sense that the body freaks out when your a quarter of the way to your head being twisted off.

Well in BJJ that is illegal.. However, in a fight, If an opponent made the mistake to kick me (it happened to me in Pride FC in Japan) well I would have to rip the knee out of socket. My opponent would scream and the match would me over. If he was on drugs and it was a real fight with no ref, his knee would be ripped apart and he would be unable to walk/chase after me, so I would walk away.
