Ha yes I remember just having 3 channels, even with just 3 there was good programs, remember double bill of sat night Hammer House of Horror, lost in space, space 1999 and more. Even comedy like George.& Mildred, Love Thy Neighbor, Dick Emery. I do feel sad when I look back, but so please & proud to have been a part of that then. The internet & phones have ruined alot of social life, even though it has it's good parts. People communicated better, wrote letters, took time out. Happy day❤️

Closest we can get to time travel! These shows and tunes really tug at the heartstrings! They had so much heart and character, and were incredibly diverse. A lot of what made them special seems to be missing in today's world. Nowadays, all kids seem to care about is their visual image. Times were so much simpler back then!

Who cares what was a series and what wasn't, it was so nice to see so many childhood treats again. Little did we know most of it was produced while everyone was " stoned ". Which explains a lot.

Keep trying to work out why i love these compilations so much, and why watching them makes me feel so good. I think it brings back a feeling of pure happiness, the world was simpler, as a kid you had no pressures or worries, money and material things weren’t so important, Mum and Dad keeping you safe and secure, Childhood back in the 60s and 70s just seemed wonderful. I feel for the kids today so many different pressures. Maybe I’m just getting old and bonkers.Anyway thanks for the vid. Brilliant!

That Thames TV logo, saw it a million times as a kid, and I was disappointed, and felt slightly led astray, when i came to London from NZ, and found out Big Ben, St Pauls and the Tower Bridge weren't within a couple of hundred feet of each other. :-)))

Mr Benn was definitely one of my earliest tv memories. I have such fun memories of being a kid. Every Friday our junior school would have a Movie Night where they'd show some weird movie but the fun thing about it was all the curtains would be pulled and all us kids would just muck about in the dark.
