Nice job Mom! May I suggest a "field trip" to the laundromat. Pick one that you feel is clean enough for your standards, pick up several rolls of quarters at the bank, load the kids, clothes, washing liquids into your vehicle and teach them how to work the machines at the 'mat. Since it will take at least two hours (to get every single thing washed and dried), plan on taking entertainment and snacks too. Sometimes I have items that won't fit in my machine, so me and the dog head to the laundromat. I start the items, set my timer, and we take "walkies" while the stuff is washing and drying. We also enjoy snacks. Just like food in an ice cream cone, anything can be fun. 😃

My son is 20. He’s lived at university for over two years now. When he comes home over the summer with all his stuff he likes to do a room reset. He always asks me to ‘help’. He keeps his room and university house spotless. It doesn’t mean they don’t need help sometimes. He gets overwhelmed. I don’t see anything wrong with helping out. We all need a bit of help occasionally. He also often rings me to ask for advice. That’s how they learn kindness and how to cope with life.❤😊

You can make the twins help you by cleaning their room every day. Just give them a basket for papers instead of throwing them everywhere, and a second basket for the dolls. It will seem less of a hassle and your task will be much easier. I hope you like my comment... It's just a suggestion to make the children feel some responsibility for their own things.

I don't have kids but from my perspective, I think you're doing a phenomenal job as a mum! It makes me so happy to see kids that are so loved and who have someone that cares so much about understanding them and their needs, and who allows them to express themselves in whichever way they want to, without imposing your own expectations on them. Knowing that mum is always there, judgement-free, is such a valuable thing for a child and it makes me so sad that not all kids have that. I'd rather happy kids who feel loved and safe and free to be themselves than a perfectly tidy home. And anyway, I feel like having a messy bedroom is a rite of passage as a kid, as is shoving everything under the bed to "clean" it haha 💜💜

I had to start fabric painting my stained shirts because I was accidentally wearing them to work. So embarrassing! The textured look is so important in bedroom design. Your children are so lucky to have both storm helmets and decorated bedrooms!! May I suggest full under the bed storage? I know it’s bad feng shui, but it would prevent things from crawling under the bed. You know what? Just put the mattresses on the floor. Yes. That will save so much sweeping! Wow! I hate the smell of Febreeze. I’m sorry I didn’t believe you about the scentless until I saw the cat tolerate it. How much Febreeze do you go through in a month? Should I buy stock? Their closet is a black hole - how did those blankets fit in it? I found that having a fitted sheet and a regular sheet, under the blankets, helped most with smell. If there is no top sheet, the blankets absorb odors. So, unless you wash all the blankets every week, it stinks. Also, wash the mattress pad cover and blankets every 4 to 6 weeks, if there is a top sheet. Pillows should also be washed every 4 to 6 weeks. Just a tip. 😊 Also wash the sheets every week.

Hi Beth! When you get a greasy stain use Dawn dish soap and spray it down before you throw it into the dirty clothes basket. Usually that will work like a charm to loosen the oil so when you wash it it’ll come out. As long as you don’t dry it, check it as you’re switching it from washer to dryer, if the stain is gone you’re good to go, but if you can still see the stain, spray it with Dawn again and throw it back into the washer. It’ll 99% be gone after the second wash if not the first. We constantly spill crap down our shirts over here. Really we should be wearing bibs from the barbecue place with every meal but we don’t. BUT, let me finish my original thought, if you put it in the dryer, that’s it, it’ll set the stain and it’s there for life. You’ll have to either wear it like that, and you won’t, throw it away or throw it in the rag bag. Bless you!!

My sister and I shared a room. We were very territorial tho. We would use crayon and make a line in the middle of the room, even on the chests of drawers, so we each had half a drawer. :) Even today, if we happen to travel in the same car I make her stay on her side of the car....not even a finger over the imaginery middle line. 🤣

Maybe it helps if you start with sharing a uterus? All uphill from those cramped quarters.

Hi there. I came over from Midwest Magic Cleaning. After watching 2 videos, I can tell that your channel is going to be one of my favorites. .I subscribed and hit the bell and liked it and will continue to do so. I love your running stream of consciousness type speaking style; it is pretty much how moms think. You've probably already gotten a trash can for the twins, but Walmart has a white plastic 5 gallon trash basket that is white with a marbled design on it. It is pretty. I have one in my den. I believe it was only $5. I bought it online, not sure if they have it in the store. Just a suggestion. What town are you in? I hope you have not been too affected by Milton. Take care.
@feraltradwifeАй бұрын
Hi! Welcome. I’m thrilled to have you. I didn’t pick up a trash can just yet for the twins but realllly need to do so. I’ll check out the Walmart one. I’m there all the time anyway. I’m in coastal Georgia between Savannah and Florida, we were just a tiny bit breezy and that’s it.
@JoanMerrywellАй бұрын
@@feraltradwife If you are looking for it online, just type in 5 gallon wastebasket. It is the first one listed. It also comes in black.

I suggest getting them used to not eating in their room, it was a game changer for me, my kids and home
@daliacohen2764Ай бұрын
I usually remove the baddings and open the windows for few hours to air out the room. while I am airing out the room I clean the room and the bathroom and the room and then put the badding.

We can’t really air out with this humidity. But I’m so excited for winter when it should be a little better. 🙌

I spill so often I check all my shirt fronts for stains and use Zout -it gets oily stains out- before I put them in the washer. Tall laundry baskets for each child, when they’re full it’s a full load. Waste baskets in kids bedrooms, bigger waste baskets in bathrooms - that way things are more likely to make into the basket - I find I manage to miss the basket if it’s too short, ‘cos I’m not going to bend over. My house is a wreck, but I’m 65 so I’ve learned a handful of things 😊
@susanduncan8485Ай бұрын
Didn’t mean to cross that out, it DOES get oily stains out
@feraltradwifeАй бұрын
I was wondering why it was crossed out lol! I’ll go looking for it next time I’m at the store ❤️

Best laundry stain remover ever: 1 part ammonia 1 part hydrogen peroxide Teaspoon of Dawn Place stain directly in small bowl of stain remover solution and let soak for 10 minutes or more if needed. Then wash as normal. You have to open the windows for this. Ammonia is pretty overwhelming. Has worked on every stain I’ve tried so far. Saved at least 5 of my husband’s shirts.

Thank you for this. My daughter is 12 and her room can get super bad. It bothers me, but not her. So, most of the time, when I deep clean it, it is because I need it clean. Does she know how to clean it? Yes. But, her room is her sanctuary, it is her safe space and she enjoys the chaos of it. My rules are: clean the garbage, take out the dishes and just put your dirty clothes in one pile. She knows if I get too overwhelmed I will come in and deep clean it for her. We homeschool too, so she is in it all the time. My son, on the other hand, will usually keep his space decent. I remember being very messy as a kid. As an adult, I prefer my house ro be neat and orderly.
@feraltradwifeАй бұрын
Right? I think every once in a while they could use a “mom” refresh. I imagine in a few years they won’t want me in their space doing that for them. I remember when I was 16 I absolutely wouldn’t want my parents in my room cleaning for me

@@feraltradwife I dunno about amazing, but possibly. First is floating or corner shelves for the stuffies. Helps "decorate" the room and keeps the room cleaner. Second is a family pick up time. 15 minutes a day where the whole family cleans/picks up. Might help with yours and your family's overwhelm

Hi Beth I don't know if I've commented before. I came from Mack and I'm glad I did 😁. I just get you, you're real life. RIGHT I am not attacking you, PLEASE don't think I am this is all about me lol 😅, but my brain cried because you didn't do up the poppers on the duvet cover and the matching pillow cases went in the wash. I have a weird brain 🧠 I'm sorry, I apologise, I'm ashamed of myself. And I'm over stressed at the moment. I'm sitting in my living room surrounded by the contents of the kitchen and boxes of tiles, and cases of workmens tools. Two more days they should all be finished and this horrific mess will have been worth it. Apologies for the essay but my brain is fried 😂🍳 Oh and Blackberry is a little beauty and so brave. My cats just see a spray bottle or can and run for the hills! 😻
@feraltradwifeАй бұрын
Oh yes! So the girls will use the matching pillows and their pillows so they did need to be washed. I totally forgot I didn’t close the duvet though! Good catch! And you don’t need to apologize or be ashamed. I kind of trended away from waiting until wash was done so I could make everything perfect for the video to “it’s good enough! Let’s move on”. I promise I’ll put the covers back on the pillows and button the duvet for you today.

Here’s a tip for you for your stained shirt. Put Dawn dish soap on the entire stain. Fold it up and put it in the hamper till your next wash day and it will be gone. Can do this with old stains too! Let me know if you try this
