In comparison to Europe, the houses in the US are sooo big! So wonderful that amount of space but of course much more to clean. I think it's admirable how you try to keep on top of everything, having kids homeschooling, cooking, cleaning, laundry, pets that need care....wow. I would be completely overwhelmed. Yeah an hour video to enjoy. I happened to have cleaned my whole house today. It's not as big as yours but still took me 5 hrs. Feels so good to shower tonight and put comfy pj's on and the whole house feel, look and smell good.

Well like I always tell you I suffer from depression and is hard to clean my house sometimes but I have learned that a clean house is good for your Mental health, also when you have animals in the house they also need a clean space. I will continue to pray for you. ❤

See, an outie is + positively charged, and an innie is - negatively charged, on account of the former being a presence and the latter being an absence... just like how there's no such thing as cold or vacuums, just the absence of heat or matter. Ergo, as most vehicles are negative-ground, yeah, it just happens by touching it. Fun fact, that's also why most cars are negative-ground-it's typically more reliable. I am also someone who struggles with cleaning. I can't focus. The only thing that has helped me keep things more tidy is I reduced what I have. Not minimalism. Just reduction. Things can still pile up, but the difference is now it takes 10 minutes to clean rather than the rest of my natural life.

I got diagnosed at age 53. I had put it off as my one daughter was diagnosed, and knew it was genetic. And thought I was functioning fine. But if my career was going well, my home was not so great. Getting diagnosed was a game changer. I am sorry I waited so long. Now I am medicated and coached and developing strategies for all the things.

We had no power for several days, and where I live no power means no water as we have well water. This is the 2nd hurricane that has come this far inland in my lifetime. The first was Hugo, it hit us on September 22, 1989 (yes, I'm that old). I'm beginning to suspicious of Fridays in September when hurricanes are heading toward NC because both Hugo & Helene hit here on a Friday.

Friend gave me (with a big cheesy smile) a book titled "Mrs. Beeton's Cookery and Household Management". (Mrs. Beeton's in a great tradition since 1858.) Apparently the look on my face made him laugh and laugh. There may have been a little fear in that laugh. The book is the size of a Webster dictionary, weighs about 10 pounds and has 1606 pages. Although originally offended, I thumbed through and found some interesting tidbits. It was published in England so uses metrics and the cadence with which the British speak. My vehicle is in the shop too; no details but they made things worse. Because I look like an old lady it should be easy to gaslight me. But they don't know what I know and who I know, lol. I'm always amazed at what is under your couch. Seriously, it takes discipline and dedication to create that state of affairs. But I know everyone contributes to create that masterpiece - kudos to all. Caught my dog - one time - stuffing a piece of banana bread into the corner of the couch cushions. Sighh Who knew that raising children would take 24/7 + 20 years? That kitchen counter is da'bomb; yes, your reward is having something beautiful to look at. Oh and I was chatting with a pharmacy person who told me that Los Angeles addicts are now able to get fentanyl at 5 cents per pill. Wth? Talk about Zombies - they are real Beth. Detoxing will help kill some of them, but it's not reliable. Movies: The Proposal. Have an excellent and I look forward to part 2 of your whole house clean. 😊

I used to be straight black, no sugar. But I'm old now and sometimes black coffee makes my stomach hurt. So now I drink it with heavy cream (no sugar) but I'm occasionally lactose intolerant, so that sometimes has a bad side effect too. All to say, getting old sucks, but coffee with heavy cream is delicious. None of that wussy half & half. 😂

Instead of using pure dish soap for surfaces , I’d recommend using a mixture of water, 1 TS dish soap and 10 drops of citronella oil (harmless for cats and disinfectant) in a spray bottle..as all purpose cleaner… ( or APC as Mack would say 😊) letting this soak some minutes even works for crusted stuff..😊

Typically my laundry, bedroom and bathroom get the most cluttered, because I choose to focus on the kitchen and living room more because that’s where we spend most our time and people see the most. So I pile up stuff in the bedroom and bathroom to put away later.

Your so funny hun I love your sense of humor,,,,,I'm so sry to hear about beauty hun I will be praying for her sweetie,,,my mom used to make salmon rolls its super easy you make up bisquick biscuit mix roll it out in a rectangle then take the salmon flake it up in a bowl then spread it out on top of the biscuit rectangle then roll it up cut them like you were making cinnamon rolls put them on a cookie sheet and bake them to the bisquick directions or until they are a light golden brown and then make potatoes or rice and veggies they are so good

Hey from ’bama. I have to have pudding every once in a blue moon-just instant jello chocolate or vanilla pudding. Husband is vegan so we don’t keep milk. But… Suggestion for your prep: Parmalat (found in the baking aisle at the grocery). It’s the European ultra high temp stuff, shelf stable & available as 2%, whole & skim. Quite tasty. Once opened, needs to be refrigerated, but a good choice for pudding, too.

my kitchen is my catch point and is always a mess but i have noticed its because i cook a lot and that means i have a lot of cooking impliments and my kitchen is so poorly laid out there is not enough storage for all the things i use. the mess often comes from too much inventory for the space. i have eased the burdon in my kitchen by making a pantry in the garage for cans and dry goods. i used to have laundry problems but i relized if i was willing to leave items in the laundry basket for two weeks i probably did not need the item because it was spending so much time unusable. its not been easy but halving inventory has made cleaning so much easier for me.

I too find it hard to 'get started' with cleaning. I've been trying to follow two (new) mindsets. 1. Put it where it belongs. E.g. when cooking, add ingredients, then put the (spice, flour) container etc back into the cabinet. 2. Like Mack of Midwest Magic Cleaning has shared...pick up one thing and put away or do one 3ft section of the counter. Once I get started, it can extend into cleaning a whole area/room.

I'm from Europe. UHT-milk is pretty normal over here. If I remember correctly just a third is "normal" milk, the rest ist UHT because it is so much easier to store. In the US everything is sold shelfstable - except milk. I will never understand. Powdered milk ist awful but UHT tastes nearly the same as normal milk and is shelfstable for months until you open it. And we also have UHT-whipping cream and the equivalent to half&half and even joghurt and Creme fraiche. It ist not as common as the milk, but still pretty easy to find. Most of the cream cheese is shelfstable. And we don't even need to prep for hurricanes and zombies. I'm curious why it isn't a thing in the US with all the prepping. It is so convenient

Cats play with toys until they get under the couch and OUT OF REACH. Instead of throwing out their toys, toss a couple of them under your diningroom table. In a couple of hours, you will find that the ones they like are nowhere to be found... probably under the couch again. It is a way to learn which toys your cats like. Also, one of my cats loves craft pom poms and things that jingle. My other cat won't touch them. He likes things that are more like actual prey shaped and a bit of crinkling is okay. It is so so hard to start. One thing that has helped me is something I learned from the book How to Keep House While Drowning. 1) pick up all trash 2) take dirty dishes to kitchen 3) pick up dirty clothes 4) put things away that have a home 5) put things away that don’t have a home or donate them You can stop after any layer. It helped me because finding a starting point is just so hard. So I pick any area that feels easiest and go by the lauers

I am becoming more and more convinced that I have adhd as well but getting a diagnosis is so expensive and it's so hard to get an appointment nowadays anyway that I'm just going to have to live with never knowing for sure 🤷‍♀️ I'm also well aquatinted with things popping up to spoil my self-improvement plans. My current example is after having an iron fusion I'm feeling a bit better and ready to start up walking again, so of course I fall down some steps the other night and sprain my ankle 😒 I'm so sorry to hear about Beauty (and Beast). What horrible news. Bone cancer took our rottie too and while she was almost 12, it was still devastating. She was still her happy and playful self (never really grew out of being a puppy lol) so it was extra heart-wrenching that she still had life left in her if not for the cancer :( I'm sending best wishes that Beauty will be okay 💜💜💜💜

@@feraltradwife They really are 💜 I'm hoping it's just a minor sprain but I'll probably end up seeing someone to reassure myself that I haven't done more damage than I realise. In the meantime, just hobbling around with a crutch lol but I'll take a sprained ankle over how much worse it could have been. I would blame myself for not paying attention while walking down steps in the dark but that those extra steps has never been there before so I'm calling shenanigans! I'll be having a blood test in a few weeks to see what my new iron levels are and if I qualify for another one. Not feeling 100% back to myself but definitely better than it was so it might just be supplements. We shall see! 😋
