I loved this fragrance, its so strong. I used 2% (20 grams per 1kg base)
A playful blend of lemon zest, grapefruit and strawberry with a fizzy sparkling wine twist.

Hi Dean, hands down best scale to use for cosmetic formulations is the KD8000. You can get one with or without the battery pack. I use only batteries and it's fantastic and reliable! I'm in Canada though and ordered it off of Amazon.com. Thanks for sharing your soaping with us, love to watch! 💞

My Weigh KD-8000. I have one and I love it. You can get it on Amazon. It's a hefty peice of machinery, but it will last forever and comes with a warranty. For smaller stuff, I use a Jennings pocket scale (also from Amazon). It's accurate to 0.01 grams.

Hi Dean, I use kitchen scales I got at Kmart. I think from memory it was $12 or $13 dollars. Has a glass plate so no need to worry about fragrance stains or melting 🤩

I got a kitchen scale from Aldi several years ago, it is glass topped so nothing harms it and its easy to clean. It is about 15cm by 22cm rectangle and very thin, about 2cm thick with glass top, its a Lumina brand, but it is quite a few years old so may not be available any more of course

Hi Dean I just bought two scales for my soap making projects today at Victoria basement at Alexandria store in Sydney. Both are “Acurite” brand. 1x 8 kg Max scale at 1 gram increments. 1x 200 gram max at .00 increment. I’ve tested them both at home they’re just fine. Less than $48 AUD for the both. Hope this helps. Beautiful! But I have problems with the layers falling apart once the loaf is cut into slices. Any tips om this?

I have been told many times to score the top with a tooth pick or small knife. Just thought for the next layer to grab onto it. Also make sure the previous base is warm but firm. If its cold it will come apart. But its all trial and error, different bases react differently too.

Hi Dean! Great job, as usual! I'm wondering if you can help me figure something out. I saw a video about pink lemonade melt and pour but her mold seemed to be a different size. She added "ice cubes" of cut up clear glycerin soap to the top of the pink layer and more in the yellow layer. I'm pretty new to using the mold. My mold holds 42 oz. (1302 gm?) I'm trying to guess how much for each color to use. 16 oz ? 18 oz? (496-558 gm?) The "ice cubes" weigh approx. 10 oz. (310 gm) You are so wonderful at figuring out how much soap to use in your molds. I'll try my best and see how things come out but would love your input. You are one of my "soap gurus" lol! Thank you for all of your great videos!

So lets work this out. Mold holds 1302 grams, minute 310 grams for cubes. If you were doing 2 colors, then your need to split 1000 grams into half = 500 grams each color. 17.63 oz each

Great video Dean, will try the bubbles as I want to do a sea/waves effect. My fragrance is sea breeze which I love in soaps and wax melts. I am practicing soaping as over in the UK we have to get each recipe and variants assessed before selling. Do you have this regulation in Australia ?

For melt and pour there is no regulation but for CP soap you need to be with NICNAS ( www.nicnas.gov.au )

Hi Dean, have you tried coloring a clear base with TD to get a pure white base? If so, do you mix with oil or can the TD be added directly to the clear base?

How do you keep the soap from separating or prevent those hard lines that show were one color set before the other was poured? I tried this with two colors and there was a hard line that caused it to look like it was separating a bit.

If you spray rubbing alcohol between layers and the previous layer is warm but firm it should bond. If its cold then it most likely will not bond.

Each end of the loaf gets cut off so all the bars are even. I get 9 x 1 inch bars per loaf. I use the left over bars for myself as testers. :)

Shaik Ismailbasha yes you can but if you have added fo it will start to disappear when you heat it back up. Also depending on what herbs you used they may go brown or mouldy
