Dearborn family receives threatening letter for having Palestinian flag outside their house

The Ramadan family has lived in Dearborn for several generations. They recently received an anonymous, threatening email all because the Palestinian flag flies outside their house.

When my grandparents immigrated here from Europe, they proudly displayed the American flag, learned English and spoke it without expecting the Americans to learn their native tongue. They did not display the flags of their prior home country and embraced all that America stood for. They were proud Americans, no longer “Frenchman, German nor Polish, nor Irish, but proudly proclaimed themselves as Americans. Now, people come here, not for the same reasons, and definitely not with the same patriotism. I’m Glad my grandparents are no longer here to witness this. If someone wants to fly the flag of their home country, they have freedom to do so….but it just shows your true colors and lack of patriotism.
