With Season 9 over, I thought to just give a quick list of how I'd rank it

17: Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna (Unlike most battles with magic users, this battle felt and looked like visual noise to me. The fight itself was slightly incomprehensible at times, which made it harder to enjoy their OP magic abilities. 5/10) 16: Excalibur Vs Raiden (Pretty badass, but also short, predictable, and I have NO idea what warframe is compared too Metal Gear Rising... so yeah, didn't quite care for this one. Fight was still badass though. 5.5/10) 15: Tanjiro vs Jonathan Joestar (The ending of this fight is kinda' sour grapes for me, because Jonathan could just use Hamon to bring Tanjiro back to life. Also this was built on a very dumb misunderstanding. 6/10) 14: Omni-Man vs Homelander (Anyone who knows these two super assholes saw the ending result coming from a mile away. How many of us just wanted too see Homelander get slaughtered? Lol 6.5/10) 13: Boba Fett vs Predator (This one was total redemption for Boba Fett, he deserved it after all the shit Disney has put him through in his own show. 6.5/10) 12: Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers (One of the ALL-TIME most anticipated horror death battles! And it did not disappoint. Halloween really came home that year for Death Battle. 7.5/10) 11: Deku vs Asta (Battle of the underestimated Shonen protags with "no powers and big dreams. Had every bit amount of heart too it, with a pretty stellar soundtrack to go with it! 8/10) 10: Harley Quinn vs Jinx ( This fight had nearly everything. It had laughs, it had action, it had explosions, it had bloody violence, and it had two of the sexiest pale-skinned crazy women in the history of pop-culture. Sweet like Pud'n. 8/10) 9: Sauron vs Lich King (Another well animated fight that truly showcased the immaculate, almighty power these two malevolent overlords wielded. Also, Fire Vs. Ice! The classic conflict made manifest. 8.5/10) 8: Gogeta vs Vegito (Kinda' disappointed that this was the season finale, as my biggest criticism is that it doesn't FEEL like season finale material. Regardless, this episode was BADASS!!! 8.5/10) 7: James Bond vs John Wick (This episode alone made me want to watch the John Wick movies again. They made John Wick look so badass compared to James Bond, who still looks as cool and badass as well. This fight is a true tribute too the movies and I love it. 8.5/10) 6: Trunks vs Silver (If they hadn't used the Archie Comics version of Silver this would've been a stomp for Trunks, but when you mess with Archie, you either need to be a DC superhero, or you need to be a reality warper to even remotely be able to stop them. This Death Battle proved how broken the Archie-Verse really was. And it's GLORIOUS. 8.5/10) 5: Black Adam vs Apocalypse (This battle had, hands down, the most BRUTAL ending to any Death Battle ever. If you've seen it, you know exactly why. That's why it's one of the season's highlights. 9/10) 4: Hercules vs Sun Wukong (Quite possibly the most unique death battle ever. I loved diving into the mythology of these two legendary warriors and seeing Wukong's goofy personality clash with Hercules's bravado was insanely fun. 9/10) 3: Magneto vs Tetsuo (The emotional layers this fight had alone were enough to rank it this high, but I also like how they accurately portrayed Magneto's true power. Dude's legit one of the Marvel universe's most badass villains. 9/10) 2: Thor vs Vegeta (Just one word describes this fight..... BADASS!!!! 9/10) 1: Spongebob Squarepants vs Aqua-Man (I didn't expect this fight to rank this high, but this death battle was so refreshingly entertaining. Wiz's character arc, the fact that they were upfront about Aquaman obviously losing, them portraying spongebob as a "God" due to him possessing toon force, it's all just great. Hands down the funniest DB i've seen in a while too. 9.5/10)
