DEATH KNIGHT Paladin / Warlock Build Guide: Baldur's Gate 3

A powerful DEATH KNIGHT Paladin / Warlock Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3. This was a class that I used for my first playthrough of bg3 and it is near and dear to me because of the amount of strength that you get with 3 smites. This is one of the most energetic class combinations in the game because of the 2 classes sharing charisma, and you can spell cast as well. Getting scorching ray, fireball and other damaging cantrips like eldritch blast is awesome.
The amount of damage you can do with this class combination is absurd, the three attacks is also a lot of fun even without smites, there is a lot of synergy with this and other builds as well!

This works so well for him too since he’s the blade of frontiers! Paladin can make sense because he is a good aligned character despite being a warlock

This build is really good I’m a huge paladin fan so i think I’ll go 7paladin/5warlock just because I’m going oathbreaker and aura of hate is the best thing in that subclass and it go perfect with pact of the blade

Protective plate heavy armor gives necrotic resistance. Could carry curse body from cazador palace. Act 1 carry loviatar scourge mace for necrotic resistance and use gale dead body. Just remember to revive gale every 2 days or it is game over.

Note that accepting the Hag's offer in order to increase your charisma will break your oath of Vengeance so you'll have to pay the 1000 gold tax (which isn't too big of a price even in Act 1) if you want to keep your vengeance subclass and not continue as an oathbreaker.

The oathbreaker is an awesome subclass so I’d recommend keeping it!

In regards to the great weapon fighting style, it does reroll smite damage.

That’s a great point I forgot to mention!! I always picked great weapon fighting style but the +1AC helps a lot early game. The rerolled damage is sweet

Highly recommend either! They can spread out enemy attacks as the summons have lower AC. I like the spore Druid a lot, it’s a mix between necromancer and Druid

Less viable since the extra attack from pact of the blade doesn’t stack in honor mode, but it’s still pretty strong

I did 9 Oathbreaker/3 Goo Lock on Minthara its still really strong use elixirs that give spell slots to make up for having low spell slots compared to sorcadin or Barbadian
