I liked this pedal so much I have two of them. One is orange with internal trim pots, other looks like yours here. I like it in the loop when other people do it, but for me personally I like it in front of the amp.

I haven't used the HM2 but I do have mxr fullbore metal pedal it works really well in the clean channel of my Marshall DSL 100H heads sounds great man.

@@DanGatesMetal I tried one of the deathmetal pedals through the loop of a bugera 333xl and it had a killer tone,but it was too noisy to get it to that point I just got a 5153 stealth lunchbox and a metal master 20 and same day I got the metal master it had me all worked up to get a big engl head so I got a smolski Powerball and it's a nasty beast of a amp.

@@DanGatesMetal I had 2 special editions,2 5153 50watters,a jsx and xxx a 5150 a engl fireball 60 and 100 and the Powerball 1 and 2 and a miaudio gamma and sold everything because of carpal tunnel and tennis elbow and rotator cuff tendonitis and a bad car wreck shattered my kneecap and a herniated disk and my lower spine was causing bad sciatica problems and I got depressed and sold everything but im geting some back now. This smolski Powerball is the meanest engl ive played so far.

The Death Knob is in the loop. Have you tried it directly into the Input Jack? I wonder how that sounds.

Is it a newer one? the original had trimpots for the eq and also a volume control. Depending on the amp I find it useful to dial back the level sometimes.

Yeah it’s a newer one. Doesn’t have the internal adjustment.
