GM King. Aside from some video annotations on Richard Reti's games, how about some on Leonid Stein's as well?

Do you think you could post the PGN as well to make it easier to analyze games with the engine? It's just much faster than looking through databases😂

What a fantastic fame,. Wei Yi deserves to be a big star for lovers of this kind of chess. Both players did their part. What a treat!

Excellent analysis of what could turn out to be the game of the year! So many variations, it was like the two players were putting on an exhibition! It almost feels unfair that Abdu and Vidit's games were overlooked but one could not ignore this game of absolute beauty. Delighted for Wei Yi to finally be thriving again after three years of almost no chess outside of China. He's fully meriting his place on the live rating list.

Wei Yi up to 2747 live rating, a personal high I think. He is only 24 still!

An amazing game. I remember the chess24 commentators Danya Naroditsky and Robert Hess brought up three master-level correspondence games that had been played in this position - the positions reached here are incredibly rich and full of bizarre, deep strategic ideas and variations.

Wei Yi coming out of hibernation. Interesting. Hope he's able to remain in form all year. Mix things up a bit at the top. I like to see someone rewarded for taking calculated risks. Pretty calm to allow Nf2 like he did. Bravo. Look forward to the conclusion and remaining coverage of the tourney. Thanks!

Looks like 3 pawns, not 2 at the end. Regardless, a dominating position. Thanks for the content!

This game reminded me very much of Ljubojevic - Van der Wiel, Wijk aan Zee 1986. Also a ROOK SAC for a lot of center pawns, won spectacularly by Ljubo - and total improvisation! Maybe you can show that game as well, because it is a very nice similarity, also played at Wijk!

"Archbishop" would also be good name for a poweful bishop 😄 great analysis as always. I imagine the players enjoyed this game x100 more than a computer line one.

Impressive how so much obviously better white's dark squared bishop is to black's rooks, that black doesn't bother to move his king's rook away from its attack for many moves until ...Rxf7, only to immediately follow with Rf8. The rook is behaving as if it was attacked by a queen instead of a bishop!

Sorry I may have missed it but there are a lot of cases where Wei Yi could take a black rook but doesn't. How come?

Funny how white had all the 8 pawns left, scattered all over the board, before black took f7😄

At 6:42 what about Qxg5 after Nxg5? Then white would need to take Bxg5, Bxe2 if Kxe2 then Bxb2 Rxh1 Bxc3 and Black is up a piece If Nxe2 then Bxd6 threatens Bxh2 and white can't win the knight, so black will still be up a piece

After 17. .... Bxe2 you don't take an e2, but 18. bxa3 Bg4 (if 18. ... Bh5 19. Be3 Ke6 20. Kd2 Ng3 21. hxg3 Kxd6 22. Bf4+ Ke7 23. Re1+ Kf7) 19. Kd2 Nf2 20. Tf1 Kg6 21. Be7 Nxd3 22. cxd3 And I would prefer White. :-)
