Alot of the time, anime/manga characters feel more powerful because their feats are portrayed more visually; we see them happening. Comic characters talk about what they're capable of alot more: their feats are through exposition. However, comic feats, a majority of the time, are OP bullshit. Not only that, but the only way to refute the bullshit is for another writer to come up with more bullshit. Which comes another factor to take in: Thor has so many sources of material to composite into this scenario, and Vegeta just has whatever Toriyama can think up. That's my 2 cents so far.

This is absolutely not true. It's the very opposite. Let's take DB characters for example; You have like Kai going "OmG ThE UniVerSE iS goinG to eXploDe WiTh a CoupLe moRe PunCHES!" Yet you see characters like Broly who is far more powerful than SSG Goku simply destroy mountains with his punches. DB characters greatest feats are merely just text dialogue. No one outside of Zeno has ever even one-shotted a Solar System. Like ACTUALLY done it on panel. If you compare their fights, comic book characters are on a whole nother level. You have like Thor knocking characters from planet to planet, or other Herald level beings literally plowing through planets in their fights. Whereas DB characters just throw eachother through mountains. Comic book characters ACTUALLY do crazy things on panel. DB characters just have text dialogue about what they can do.

That is the problem with the Marvel movies compared to the comics... They get severely nerfed in the movies. Yes Thor would have won that fight with his hammer alone when you really think about it. His hammer absorbs energy so all of Vegeta's ranged attacks would have been nullified. Comics cheat... lol. Just remember... The main draw of any good Supes story isn’t that he can punch the hardest or whatever. It’s about the character struggles he faces like you said earlier. He has to deal with his identity as an all american farm kid as Clark, his status as the last survivor of an alien race as Kal-El, and incorporate all that into his hero persona as Superman. Throw in his complex and rich relationships with the likes of Lois and Jimmy and you’ve got a pretty fleshed out, interesting character imo

Hal once moves so fast he almost broke into the speedforce; He didn't have access to the speedforce, he just used sheer willpower to move that fast. Those Deathbattle guys are OVERLY biased for DB characters. The fact that they even made this a fight against Thor going all out is silly, it shouldn't have been close. In reality, Vegeta should've last 30 seconds, tops. But since Deathbattle overwanks DB characters, they somehow make it "close". The only saving grace the battle had was making in base Thor, and not Thor with his Thorforce, or Rune powers.

@@2grownmen7879 I mean I did some research, and I found out they didn't factor in that ssj gods stat boost that should have been his bace, cuz when goku just got ssj god it was stated in the anime that when he fell out of his ssj god form to his bace /ssj form. He absorbed the ssj god form and it became his bace form. So technically if we factor that in he would be on par with thors bace form if he was in ssj ego. Vegeta would be = to 3,532,482 universes Thor (bace form)=2,386,800 But still, if thor transformed he would get a x10 boost and vegeta would still lose. Still dumb of them that they lowballed vegeta like that

Superman vs Thor is still highly debatable. People classically think Superman wins to due to speed diffs being too high between him and “Slowdinson”, but Slowdinson has been debunked by numerous feats at this point. Post-Crisis Supes would be a good fight for Thor, but I don’t think N52 Supes is up to par with standard Thor, not counting King Thor (who is current Thor right now, who has both Odinforce and power cosmic, murdered Galactus and the Black Winter, etc, so yeah).

I asked because I haven't read Thor comics. I think the issue is, and this goes for DragonBall as well, is what is the opposition if these characters are capable of these insane feats. Someone commented that Thor swinging his hammer at a third of his Rune strength would Crack the Multiverse. With that being said, Marvel Comics shouldn't have any issues with Villians. With all the DBZ bashing that we get off of this video, we have been responding by asking the Thor fans to let us know what their favorite Thor comic is or what books they recommend us to pick up, but we haven't gotten any answers.

The only bad comic reads are the ones where shitty writers try and add real life politics and problem into it. There is a major gap in strength comparing Comics to Manga I mean the DC universe alone is 1 Billion x the size of our universe and its 70 million x bigger than universe 7 in dbz and both Superman and Thor casually destroy or wipe out galaxies the size of universe 7 now I don't know the size of the marvel universe but its bigger or just a bit smaller than DC but not by much so by putting that into place its easy to see just how Thor wins this battle and Superman beats Goku their universes are just too big and they have been seen and shown to have the potential to destroy the DC/ Marvel multiverse that's infinity x bigger than DBZ universes

Yep. If your opponent is a comic book character, prepare to see the most insane bullshit ever. Thor in the comics is insanely OP and he fights shit that's insanely OP. But, since it's comics, it's done by like a dozen writers and not all of them write Thor the same way. That's a big issue with comics: they're VERY inconsistent cause of multiple writers, so you gotta take into account the more consistent feats and go with that. Sadly, in the case of Thor, his most consistent feats are FUCKING NUTS. It's the same with a ton of other heavy hitters from Marvel or DC. Those characters have been around for so long that they've done some of the most insane shit ever.

That's why there's always threats in comics because the villain are just as broken as the heroes. Thanos in a lot of occasions don't make any sense in the comics, sometimes he's op and sometimes he's weak but anyway thanos easly tanked a punch from thor while thor was using the power stone 😂 thanos have also magic powers, he's fisically insane for the strength and the durability, thanos have the mind control, his cosmic powers are insane, he have a good healing factor, ecc.. But at the end he don't make any sense, because he can also easily tank the black bolt scream but he got take down with one single punch by gladiator and this don't make sense because thanos in all his fights against the hulk easly won but at the same time hulk won without much problems against gladiator back in time 🤷🏻‍♂️ soooo well.. Thanos only got knocked out by a punch from Gladiator only because Thanos was extremely weakened (so weakened he was barely able to fight the Shi'ar royal guard on his own) and was dying. It is actually quite impressive that even such a weakened and near-death Thanos could survive that blow considering that Gladiator is one the strongest being in the universe, capable of giving Thor, Hulk and Hyperion a good beating. Thanos can normally play around with Gladiator as much as he plays around with Hulk, Thor and the Surfer
