Debadge and Rebadge Kia EV6 GT

Here's how I did it.

I actually picked up an OE badge set (front, back, and EV6) in gloss black. There is a matte black finish on eBay tho. I did a full front PPF a little after i got my car so my holes are covered by it. Debadging the rear does look clean tho but I'll see how it looks like for a few months. That matte finish is nice tho and I saw one the other day for the first time but it was a GT-line tho. I just didn't want the extra maintenance from it so I went with SWP instead. I wanted that black and white look as well. Plus my last car was silver and I always go for grey for my cars in the past so I thought a change would be nice. I also got a GT as well but only for a few months. I'm finally getting it tinted all the way around and also wrapping my top today. Can't wait to see it in a few hours. Checking out your other videos now but awesome looking car tho! I want to do the sequential rear light mod later this year. The harness isn't ready yet as the person making them is on a break right now. The lights are expensive tho so hopefully it goes down in price soon. I could've gotten them new a couple of months ago for around $650 vs $800 but didn't want them around knowing that I needed to wait for the harness as well. Pricey mod but I think it's worth it. Too bad they don't have an aftermarket solution as I wouldn't mind going that route to save a few hundred. Kinda sucks that us NA market got cheapen out vs the international market with its active matrix headlights as well. I would do this upgrade as well but it's super expensive so I might not. We need more aftermarket parts. 😊

Such a shame about the holes in the front. Debadged would be ideal but what you've done is much better than it was originally.

Where did you purchase this emblem? I cannot find one large enough. Thanks!

I got it from Emblems Only, but it still is just a bit too small. If you can wait, I am having a custom emblem made and I should have it in the next week or so. It was designed specifically large enough to fully cover the holes and is also the EV6 GT logo (rather than the other Kia GT logo in this video).

@@EVERYTHINGcpo Are you having more then one made? Also, silver or black or both? And low profile like the factory Kia badge?

@@evodave69 it’s not quite as thin as the Kia badge. It’s 1/8”. I actually just got it yesterday. I *may* be able to install it today.
