The Data Behind Maximum Power Output Mode in the EV6 GT

I wanted to figure out what was happening behind the scenes with Maximum Power Output mode in the GT. I did some data logging and analysis to find out what parameters were needed to be at what level for Maximum Power, and also what that power output level is! It surprised me. So now I have more testing to do!

Awesome data! qq, if you know: Is your max power output (to the drivetrain) lower during the readying state of max output mode? For example, if my min temp is 80, would the power output be different at 80° with the mode on (the battery conditioning) vs not on?

I know very little about EV’s, but if max power is only available after the batteries are warmed up, then is there a way to reprogram the battery heaters to activate quicker? Is that even possible or desired? 🤔

Not even sure. Unfortunately there is no OBDeleven for this car! I don’t think there is much to be hacked. I’ve still got lots of testing to do still though! There are some interesting parallels to the R. The R you have to wait for the oil temp to get high enough, and you need to have the right type of fuel for max power (E85) and you should have at least half a tank of fuel (without installing a surge pump). With the EV6 GT, you have to wait for the battery packs to get up to speed, and you want to have as much charge as you can get for the most continuous power output.
