Not at all because the difference is between evolution with an intelligent mind behind it vs evolution without it. Which is a bit like defending the evolution of cars, airplanes, cameras or phones while ignoring the intelligence behind the first cause of it. So you aren't parsing the issue and understanding it and that's why you see a problem in a false equivocation rather than grasping the issue.

@@jimjohnson9622 the problem was that he couldn't admit that the Theory of Evolution was a falsification method for his version of Christianity when most Christians actually accept evolution and know it doesn't falsify Christianity. He was equivocating between his personal definition and the scientific definition, when I cornered him on the literal contradiction he still refused to admit it. @@mattersnowIt’s an obvious trick that religion and theists have always used. Once something is falsified in the Bible, you just reinterpret what the Bible says or claim that it was intended to be a metaphor. It’s just a game to keep the Bible unfalsifiable, and as long as one gap(God domicile) remains, they can play the game in perpetuity.

Take a group of cats and divide then in two groups. Take one group to a cold climate and the other to a hot climate. Wait a few thousand generation to pass and see the result. Assuming both group were able to adapt and survive, it's pretty much guaranteed that the cold climate group will have a thicker and longer coat. It's also likely their color changed. Probably the cold climate ones will be smaller, too, if food there more scarce. These are small changes, but the sum of them might even prevent the two groups to interbreed, even though they originated from the same exact group. That's what we call evolution. That's why we have lions, cugars, leopards, jaguars, tigers, domestic cats, etc. It really is not too difficult to understand. I don't know what's wrong with some people.

Christian groups produce their own literature and pseudoscientific studies in support of their dogmas and denying established science: this makes these debates fruitless as both sides end up waisting all their time trying to establish what’s true rather than the subject they’re debating. Perhaps before a debate, an agreed upon fact checker can check the arguments people plan to use, so we can see a debate rather than waisting time on who’s using the correct information.

Clearly you don't know science many are still theoretical meaning not proven fyi. And what is your definition of proof or evidence because these terms were first legal not scientific and don't go googling today's definition tell me your definition of proof because if your speaking of prophecy's they are proof in reality and they we not predicted or predicated on what you could see coming nor were they perposefully directed to be fulfilled that's the softest most uneducated argument I've heard Jesus crusifiction was predicted around 600 yrs before his birth so your saying that he said well man in order for me to be the Messiah of the Jews I should cause my self to be hated and chastised by the priests in power and then beaten within a inch of my life but don't worry I'll live and recover enough to days later be crusifed but before that I'll be able for sure to walk a stone road uphill with a heavy wooden cross then I'll be fine getting staked to it then I'll hang there for hours and be fine then die when Im ready I'll make sure they draw lots for my cloths and when I'm dead I'll be sure the soldier present stabs me in my side instead of breaking my bones lol how ridiculous does that sound. And then to say someone would die on purpose just to be a king and gain nothing makes no since at all so the biblical nerative is more reality then the one in you and Matt's mind.

The guests look like they could be brothers. I also don't know why the atheist says a singularity isn't part of the modern cosmological model when it very much is. The Big Bang theory has rightly come under serious scrutiny lately, but its still all we have, and it starts with a singularity.
@mattersnow
@mattersnow 27 күн бұрын
@MrAweeze Because it is not. The current cosmological model is Lambda-CDM and definitely doesn't include a singularity. The Lambda-CDM model, also known as the standard model of Big Bang cosmology, describes the universe's expansion from a hot, dense state but does not necessitate a singularity. The misconception likely arises from older interpretations of the Big Bang theory that suggested a singularity as the universe's starting point. However, modern cosmology, supported by observations and theoretical advances, has moved beyond this notion. The Lambda-CDM model incorporates dark energy (represented by Lambda, Λ) and cold dark matter (CDM) to explain the observed structure and dynamics of the universe. Instead of starting with a singularity, the Lambda-CDM model describes the universe's evolution from a hot, dense phase roughly 13.8 billion years ago. It successfully accounts for the cosmic microwave background radiation, large-scale structure, and the accelerating expansion of the universe without invoking a singularity. I recommend you look into NASA's resources on the Lambda-CDM model for a more detailed understanding of the current cosmological framework. It's important to stay updated with the latest scientific consensus to avoid relying on outdated concepts. - Ozien

@MrAweeze 27 күн бұрын
@@mattersnow what is the name given to this "hot dense state"?
@mattersnow
@mattersnow 27 күн бұрын
@MrAweeze The "hot dense state" refers to the condition of the universe at the very early stages of the Big Bang, before it started expanding. This state is often characterized by extreme temperatures and densities. The exact size of this hot dense state is a subject of ongoing research, but it is understood to be extremely small, possibly approaching a point-like state, but not necessarily a true singularity. In the context of the Lambda-CDM model, this hot dense state marks the beginning of the observable universe, and as it expanded, it cooled down, leading to the formation of matter as we know it. The term "hot dense state" helps avoid the implication of a singularity, which suggests an infinitely small point with infinite density, something modern cosmology does not necessarily support. For a more detailed understanding, I recommend looking into NASA's resources on the Lambda-CDM model, which provide extensive information on this topic.
