@@NoahLinden Bench unit is basically 3 starters without Jokic. So I would have to disagree. Murray should be leading that bench unit when Joker is resting and he's not doing it. So bench unit is a problem, but it is not the biggest issue. Also, if Murray was playing like 50mil per year guy (That's Donovan Mitchell for example), bench unit wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Ppl already forget that the Nuggets' success is the two men game action. When they need to score, they would do it immeditely in 2023. But now Jamal is a dog water 2nd option, the two men game won't work anymore. All we can do now is feeding ball to Jokic and pray for him. With this Jamal, no team can be successful. Jamal is the biggest issue of the team 100%.

There is truth to this. And not enough people are talking about it. Zeke wasn’t this unplayable guy a few years ago, but he is becoming worse every year ever since the coaching staff altered his role significantly. They have destroyed his confidence and continued to set up guys to fail. No one is denying our bench needs help, but as a head coach Malone has no idea how to run the team when Jokic is off the court.

I don't think Malone is a great coach. He got lucky to have Jokic. The one opportunity he has to prove himself as a decent coach is with the bench unit. Throughout his entire tenure, he has never coached a solid 2nd unit. When players leave the Nuggets, they suddenly become better, which suggests that this may be more of a coaching problem than anything else.

Did joker play awesome? In relation to the rest of the league, absolutely. What are we doing? Anyone else in the league has that stat line and they’re the leading story in sportcenter. Also that 3rd quarter was “Jokic save us” strategy and all the off ball moving and plays were stagnant, so nobody else was engaged in the offense.

Murray needs to stop wasting balls. That's it. Rest of the team too. They are missing a lot. Jokic is only consistent player in Denver. Watson, Brown and Strawther are good for their age and experience. And now Gordon is back too. But MPJ and Murray needs to stop wasting balls. Westbrook misses a lot but at least he is decent in defence.

My take: Jamal Murray - Highly inconsistent. While he has flashes of brilliance, his lack of defensive intensity and inability to deliver consistently is concerning. He's paid like an All-Star but often performs more like a role player. For that salary, you expect someone to elevate the team regularly, not sporadically. Michael Malone - The coaching decisions have been questionable, especially in how they manage the bench. It feels like the bench is set up to fail with minimal preparation or opportunity to build chemistry. The over-reliance on Nikola Jokić for offensive production is unsustainable. Without Bruce Brown, KCP, and Reggie Jackson-key contributors last season-the remaining bench players are inexperienced, underutilized, and unsurprisingly underperforming. Calvin Booth - Questionable roster decisions. Paying players max contracts while they're producing mid-level numbers (e.g., ~17 PPG) isn’t a recipe for success. This ties up cap space and limits the flexibility needed to address glaring weaknesses. In Summary- The team feels like it’s regressing rather than building on last season’s success. Overpaid players, poor roster management, and a lack of accountability in coaching are turning a contender into a disappointment. If these issues aren’t addressed soon, it’s hard to see this squad competing at the highest level.

We know the problem and we should not be afraid to say it. Jamal Murray. The way this team is set up we live and die by Jamal Murray. Joker is the physical/playmaking leader and Jamal is the energy. When Jamal doesn’t care or he has trouble getting going it affects the entire team and the rest of the team has to take a back seat to get him going. If we honestly had a consistent/confident number 2 do we honestly think we would be having this issue? No. This team is underperforming because of how this team is too reliant on Jamal…

We went from being the team that was looked as an example of franchise building to a team that is used as an example of what not to do when you have a championship team. The kroenke's cheap pockets along with the latest( dumb af) cba but nuggets in a terrible situation. It will be a crime if jokic only makes it to the finals once in his career. The nuggets are more closer to rebuild than a championship. That's fucking sad considering they won their championship in 2023. This trade deadline is probably the most important one since they got Gordon. If they dont make moves this season is a wash.

Can we have the discussion of possibly this being a symptom of bad coaching? Yes Malone won a championship, when jokic is setting never seen before numbers in the playoffs but how come whenever anyone who’s producing comes to our team and is playing on the bench they become unplayable. It seems like every other team in the league bench depth is deeper than ours. But are we so sure it’s because of better players? Maybe when jokic who is the coach on the court steps off we loose the actual coach that has brought us the success. Seems to me that when he’s off the court we have a uncoached team who forgets how to play.

My chronic sports superstion complex makes me feel like my team has a curse on it. Should I wear my jersey? Should it be washed or should I leave it unwashed if we're on a winning streak? Why does Chris Marlow (whom I respect) have a knack for uttering a broadcasters curse with such efficiency? I'm joking of course, but man the struggle is real this year. They shouldn’t have gave Murray that contract in my opinion. I understood the first extension because it was based on his projections. Same situation with MPJ when he got his extension. However, MPJ wouldn’t have got a max extension again and he doesn’t get the shots Murray get on a game to game basis. Murray isn’t consistent enough to warrant that. He needs to be closer to the player he is in most postseasons during the regular season.

The west is even tougher now so 15-10 after 25 games wouldn't be awful. The team has 3 games without its starting pg, 3 games without its starting center, and i think like 8-10 games without its starting power forward. The team had late 4th qtr leads against both Minnesota and Dallas that they didn't close and a couple of close losses, so it's not like they got boat raced in the 9 losses. They have three bad losses(Thunder, Knicks, and Cavs) The other 6 they were right there. I think people are completely over-reacting.

Zeke is not a 5, he is not and we need to stop calling that his role when he is a poor mans AG/4 who can do a lot on defense and could learn cuts if given a chance with Jokic. Stop trying to make him a center, Zeke Nnaji is not a center he doesn't have the dawg to play inside and get rebounds. Jamal cannot play at this level and earn $50m a year, if he does Nuggets will probably start missing the playoffs...

I agree Zeke could’ve been a decent role player but he has been forced to play the wrong role. He was drafted as a PF who shot 40% 3P% and could switch on defense. The coaches changed his shot mechanics, made his shot worse and only play him at center where he struggles against big centers and never shoots 3’s

I agree 100% with Swipa. The root of Nuggets' problems is their Front Office. All of the issues we see are just consequences of that problem. They did a terrible job and made several mistakes! My favorite is that they bet on the multiple young players to develop and win championships. The Jedis in Star Wars has more sense than that 😂

You know why Matt Moore annoys everyone so much especially Swipa? it’s because he’s right. he’s just smug about it but he’s absolutely right. and we don’t like hearing that because we’re in our emotions and he’s not and Swipa is the most emotional person I’ve ever seen. the dude will yell over people.

Everything is solved by playing better defense.... The Nuggets score enough points on average to be a .750/.800 team but the defense is bottom half of the league.

Fault is on GM that does nothing and cheap owner. Besides Jokic,AG and Westbrook all others should be tradable. Braun, Watson and Strawther are nice complementary pieces but rotation players at best. Zeke is useless I don't get why didn't they get rid of him and Saric is total failure. You have a bunch of players that give you verry little to nothing while a lot of teams are 10+ men deep.

Calvin Booth and Michael Malone is the reason why their losing starters around Jokic and a weak bench need to be better their is no point production off the bench they cant play defense
