I had the chance to work with Debbie Harry in NYC back in the nineties, on a horror film project called The Killbillies. She was recovering from a serious addiction phase in her life, and was a sweet woman, very kind and friendly. Unfortunately we never got to raise the funds to produce the film, so after a few months, we never saw each other again. Great to see her at the GNS in such a good shape and mood.

I was a MASSIVE Blondie fan as a kid -- Parallel Lines is probably the most underappreciated album in the world. Nearly never on any of those worthless "top" lists by navel-gazing rock critics, and yet one of the best and most significant albums of its time. At aged 14 I met the band at a record store in London. I turned up really early as I had bunked off school with a mate, and the owner let us in and we helped out getting things ready before the crowds came in. When the band turned up they were all really kind and thanked us, when they really didn't need to. DH was absolutely gorgeous and such a cool lady. Great memory - I felt like a VIP.
