Chatterbait and Wacky Rig DEFINITELY Catch Bass! (Bank Fishing)

The Z-Man crosseyez chatterbait and wacky rig are two of the BEST lures for bank fishing. The weedless design of the crosseyes chatterbait allows it to come over wood a LOT better than a normal chatterbait. The wacky rig can be used as a follow up bait, fished finesse around cover, and thrown to catch any fish that weren't aggressive enough to eat the chatterbait. I targeted shallow bass hiding in and around wood from the bank. I'll take you through what I did to catch these bass. I'll also cover the rod, reel, and line at the end. I'll drop a few tips along the way too!

I used to like bank fishing when I was younger. Today, the lakes/ponds around me are either over grown or privately owned. I don't have that ambition in me anymore to walk a mile into the woods and start fishing. But kudos to you for doing it. That's how I started out fishing 40 years ago. John Crews said the Kevlar-type epoxy grips on the Cashion rods allow for better sensitivity compared to natural cork. He said cork absorbs some of the vibrations from the rod.

Glad you have some success with that crosseyez chatterbait, I think I managed to get 1 or 2 up in Canada on one before the damn snap broke! I def prefer the snap on the chatterbait elite. What do you think about the Project Z weedless? I have had pretty good success with that, but sometimes apparently, the blades just come off because the eye on the head isn't completely closed sometimes.

Terry the one. I don't know what type of boat you got but I will suggest getting an anchor. I prefer two 1 on the front and one on the back. If your stationary you'll fish more like being on the bank where you can concentrate on fishing and not be concerned about struggling about boat position. I am assuming it's an aluminium boat. Hope I have been some help.
