In today's video I'll discuss my TOP 5 favorite lures for summer bass fishing. I'll put an emphasis on lures that I use while I'm bank fishing. WHY??? Because I don't think bank anglers get enough love! However, these lures work great from a boat or yak as well! I'll discuss lure types, colors, and the combos I fish them on. I'll explain my reasoning behind my picks and even give you a little tip for each lure!

I've had other BPM baits kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

I am a bank fisherman and my "go to" is a 5" watermelon senko weightless Texas rig...they cast a mile and sink so slow. I'm going to give the frog some more time going forward. Thanks for the video. I would just like to thank you for your channel. Being from PA I’ve always been a trout guy because all I’ve ever had access to was small streams. I went bass fishing for the first time on Monday and used a Texas rig senko with an 1/8thoz bullet weight on my spinning gear using 6lb mono and caught 5 largemouth from the bank in the 1st hour and my kids caught a few on their 5’ ultralight gear. All about a pound or so. Yesterday we took out a boat and were throwing the same rigs toward the bank with no luck, I went in the other side of the boat and threw towards the middle of the lake and the 2nd cast I hooked one. I told my kids we have been doing it wrong and my 12 year old throws his right to the same spot and hooked at least a 5lber. I seriously thought his rod would snap in half. Got it to the boat and just as I reached down to grab it he snapped the line. A pic would have been nice, but his excitement and laughter through the entire fight was better than any pic I could have taken. I’m now shopping for dedicated bass gear, but it’s nice to know I don’t need $600 rigs to land big fish...just a little stronger line
